I've stayed at about a dozen Las Vegas hotels, and was very favorably impressed by Bally's. The room was large, quiet and well layed-out. It had the modern features one needs (high-speed internet connection) but not the ones you don't (toilet telephone, plasma screen TV). Bally's central-strip location (directly across from Bellagio) is unbeatable. The casino has a relatively sane floorplan (i.e., you don't get disorieted), and a good variety of games and good restaurants. The breakfast buffet was comfortable and very good, with good service and a nice view, though not super-cheap among buffets (I think it was $12 for breakfast). Bally's is literally connected to Paris--an interior walkway leads from one to the other--so if you are fond of anything at Paris, you are, for all practical purposes, staying there when you stay at Bally's. If you want the ultimate in luxury, glitz, or youth appeal, look elsewhere--Bally's is relatively staid. But for most of us, Bally's will seem quite luxurious, very comfortable, and, if you get the room at the lower end of their price rage, a great bargain.

This was my third great experience staying at Ballys. The rooms are noticably larger than other hotel/casinos in Las Vegas. Plenty of room to stretch out and relax.

The rooms are showing a little wear-and-tear; there was a red juice stain on the carpet and some wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling, but nothing horrible. The beds are also not the best but will do just fine.

What i like most about Ballys is the location. Not only do they have a good casino themselves (very spacious and not very smokey) but they're connected via an indoor walkway to Paris Las Vegas. A totally different vibe is down that walkway.

Ballys also features a stop on the Las Vegas Monorail so you have easy access from MGM Grand to the Las Vegas Hilton/Convention Center.

Overall, the hotel/casino complex is very nice and refined. I will recommend this highly and will stay again soon.

I got a really cheap rate at Bally's because I'm a member of their rewards program. We had a huge room in the North Tower. We didn't have a view but that was okay. The location of Bally's can't be beat. It is really at the center of the strip so anywhere you want to go is pretty much walking distance. It was nice to be connected to the Paris as well. To me Bally's was the perfect size. I got really lost walking around some of the other hotels because they are huge and there aren't a lot of signs. We have no complaints about our stay at Bally's all of the staff was friendly and helpful. We really didn't eat too much so I can't say anything about their restaurants but the buffet was good. The gambling was also good here I went home a winner thanks to their slot machines. I would definately stay here again.

As a second time LV visitor and first time Ballys guest we were very pleasantly suprised for what we got for our Dollar. First of great location - lots to see and do within walking distance. The room was expansive, clean and facilities just what we wanted, a place to relax from the hectic pace recharge the batteries for the next marathon jol, (Afrikaans slang for a great time out). Will stay again, hope the barman remembers how to pour a Springbuck!

Just got back from 1st Bally's trip. Was either here or MGM due to best prices we could find for booking 2 weeks ago. Went thru Expedia to save some dough... tried to book directly w/ hotel via rewards card but they were not impressed and would not even come close to matching the Expedia rate. Almost drove me to MGM (which was cheaper) but wife wanted more central location, so went w/ Bally's.
Booked North tower based on many reviews that said avoid the "run down" south tower (more on this in a moment.)
Tip: if you fly in check in at Harrah's airport kiosk. No one in line at 1:30 p.m- in and out in 3 minutes.
Arrived at hotel and glad checked in at airport- big crowds at front desk- can't comment on service.
Room: if north tower is the best of Bally's, would hate to see south tower. Not that room our was bad, but it is showing some wear and tear. Clean though, and nice beds. But would not pay more than the $90 a night I got thru web. Room faced north for "great" view of roof , parking deck and air conditioners- get what you pay for there, I guess. The Good: nice, smaller more sedate casino; great location w/ easy access to Bellagio, Paris, Flamingo, C- Palace; staff seemed friendly, price/ quality for room ok. The Bad: breakfast buffet a horrible greasy mess ( Paris or Flamingo MUCH better for same price); Rewards card a joke- comps non -existant unless high- high roller; $3 a day to use room safe is silly. Would probably stay again though, unless I could get C -Palace or Bellagio for a super price.
