My wife and I stayed at the Bally's just one night and we had a good experience. Got a deal in the web, payed 80 bucks for a deluxe room. It was spacious and clean even if facing the back. We could have asked for a room facing the Strip but it was just for one night and we did't see the need. The pool it's OK, at 5.30pm it get's in the shadow of the hotel tower, so don't plan for sunbathing late in the afternoon. We had dinner at the buffet: good choice for 20$. Don't like gambling, so we spent the night walking in the Strip. The location of the Bally's is great, you can see the fountains of the Bellagio in front of it and even walk up to the Venetian in 15 minutes. Absolutely worth of the money, will stay again.

Bally's is a great hotel to stay in especially if you want to be in the middle of the strip's action. Check in was easy and quick. We opted for the Non-smoking rooms and actually got a room that did not smell like a smoking room (had that problem in the past in previous hotel). We love the way it connects to Paris hotel. Only problems we had were that the hotel did not have a great dinning selection (but ok if you want to go else where on the strip) and hotel slot machines are a little too much on the hotel's favor.

Highly recommend staying on the North Tower facing the strip. You will be able to see Bellagio's amazing water show and Caesars Palace firework display (we were there this 4th of July weekend).

Spent 4 nights in Vegas, all prebooked and paid for at Ballys, which was a pity as this is not a great hotel - very tired hotel - room was spacious enough, was supposedly a deluxe room, but looked very ordinary and had a couple of cracked tiles in the bathroom and no great amneties to talk of - even room safe was an extra daily $3 charge which is a bit of a cheek.
Pool is extremely far to walk to, so we gave up on that idea.
We had one buffet supper - don't sit in a booth - and nothing to write home about, very average food.
what you should do though is definately sign up for the connection card - we didnt gamble much but still received enough comps and cash back to pay for some of the hotel bill.
Breakfast at the Aladdin by the way is exceptionally good - better than Paris which gets lots of good reviews - we went to both, and yes Paris is nice (paid for with comps using connection card), but Aladdin is slightly better.
Ballys location is good, in the centre of the strip, but other than that, there is no real reason to stay there.

My wife and I just returned from 4 nights at Bally's. I was there for a conference and my wife came along (for the shopping). All in all I have to say that we had an excellent time. The hotell staff at Bally's were all very helpful. Even with multiple conferences going on at the same time, the hotel was able to maintain their service. If you will be playing the slots, video poker etc. stop by and get a Connection Card. You will get discounts at all of the shops, retaurants etc. and get cash back for your time spent on the machines. I didn't play too much but still picked up $120 in addition to comp coupons of $26 and $17. The hotel rooms are dated, but they keep them clean and you can keep it as cold as you want (if you leave the fan setting on low at night, it won't keep coming on and off like it does on auto).
With the Monorail right at Bally's, getting to other casino's is easy although make sure to check the map etc. for where it stops because you might still be in for some long walks. We did the breakfast buffett mornings which is the standard fare and we tried Bally's Steak place one night. It was OK but not great. We will go back to Bally's, hopefully in the not too distant future.

This was probably my fifth stay in Las Vegas. I love the fact that Bally's is so centrally located. We stayed in the North Tower in one of their regular rooms. It was quite nice, clean, and comfortable. Our room came with two queen beds, a writing desk which is always great if my boyfriend has to work, a nice large chair that is so comfortable it envelopes you. The TV which we have never had time to watch is quite large. The bathroom is very large which is nice and we have always found it clean. The nice part of this place is that Paris is next door which has a great buffet. I have never found time to be at the pool so I cannot judge it. My play at the slots has brought me to both Ballys and to Paris. Bally's has a great penny slot section (though small) and a good nickel section. I have always found that Bally's is a bit looser at night. I have hit at both Ballys and Paris which always brings a smile to me. I find that the shops at Bally's are not that great but Caesar's is across the street and there are some quaint shops at Paris which I frequent. I love being on the strip and the fact that this is centrally located. I will definitely be back.
