Stayed at Bally's from 9/30 to 10/3. Checked in at the airport, great convienence. Had to change my room when I arrived as it was just in bad shape (North Tower, not renovated). GOt a better view room in the same tower but the room was pretty gross. THe carpet was badly stained, the room was just "old" and the bed uncomfortable. Half of the time I was sleeping on the matress pad because the sheets just would not fit the bed no matter how I tried to fix it. The location was great, the food good, the cafe I found at Paris was really good. Not sure if I would stay here again unless I was confirmed in a renovated room. Hotel People nice but could not change my room again unless I paid a stiff upgrade which I was not willling to do. FOr a weekend price of $179.00 a night I think I paid enough to get a decent room. If I wanted to pay more I would have stayed at the Paris or Venetian. Good thing my wife was not with me as I know we would have checked out....

Stayed at Bally's Sept 16 - 19, came in for the DeLahoya-Hopkins fight and was impressed with the decor of the hotel and its location on the strip is excellent. I stayed in 1100 sq. ft. a one-bedroom parlor suite which was actually 2 rooms with the door open in between but was very nice, our particular room did not have much view but who cares? There were several little general stores directly behind the hotel which were excellent for stocking the room with beer, snacks etc. Never got to go to the buffet it closes at like 11am! Tried the one at Paris and was not impressed at all. Staff was very friendly no problems with check-in...checkout was another story.... The Casino was DEAD I have never been in a Casino that quiet in my life! If you gamble try elsewhere, the Barbary coast was excellent, younger crowd, very lively, excellent bands but not very large. A bit of an ordeal at check-out apparently they were charging the bill from another guest to our bill because the room numbers had gotten mixed up so it took a while to straighten out to the point we missed breakfast before our flight. I read other reviews were they said they try to sneak a charge for the safe on your bill and sure enough there it was! As soon as I questioned it the desk clerk said he would "waive" the fee, funny since we never even touched the safe! All in all Ballys is very nice will stay again because of the location but gamble and eat elsewhere.

Recently stayed at Bally's during a trip to Las Vegas and was VERY pleased with the hotel. The rooms are huge and kept very clean. We booked in advance and the prices were good, although the closer you get to departure the higher the prices get. So book early.

Check-in can be quite long and internet access is very expensive in their business centre - although there are several internet cafe's further down the Strip offering access at much better prices.

The restaurants are good and the Buffet is fab!!

Bally's is well placed for all the themed hotels on the Strip and be sure to ask for a room with a view to the Paris Hotel - the Eiffel Tower outside your bedroom is quite a site!

I stayed at Bally's from Sept. 20th - 23rd. I used the check-in at McCarran International Airport - this is highly recommended as others have mentioned. I had requested a King sized bed, but as I had arrived early (11:00am) they only had a double queen bed available. I had no problem with this. My room was in the South Tower, and as a previous advisor mentioned, you seem to have a choice between the older rooms in the South Tower with better views, or a better/refurbished room in the North Tower with perhaps not-as-nice views..

Opening my drapes I was staring straight at the Eiffel tower of the Paris Hotel, and was also able to see much of the fountain show at the Bellagio. The room itself seemed comparable to one I had stayed in months earlier at Treasure Island - Nothing too fancy but nice enough for me. I had no problems with housekeeping during my stay. Towels were replaced..all that good stuff. Some other thoughts:

-The Monorail seems to be in a permanent state of broken. Who sold Vegas this thing, Lyle Lanley? (I'm a Simson's fan)

-The lower level where the Sports Book, Pool, Spa are located seems a bit desolate. It doesn't seem like it is part of the hotel....

-The ability to access the Paris hotel is a definate plus. It's lovely and I preferred their casino to Bally's - but it's proximity means that you really have 2 hotels in one.

So summing up, I enjoyed my stay at Bally's. The room rate ($79 per night), location, and general amenities make it a place I'll come back to on future trips to Las Vegas.
