“Wonderful stay!”

Bally's Las Vegas

First time in Las Vegas and we were so glad that we booked at Bally's! The location was perfect and the hotel service, size and food choices excellent! My husband and I researched many of the hotels and we were glad that we did not book at one of the "flashy" hotels because they were too big to maneuver around! Great to visit them, but that's about it! The pool was the perfect size and not too crowded. There were always lounge chairs available and the poolside drink service was great! The room was huge located in the North tower and had a lovely view of the mountains and nearby casinos. The bed was so comfortable, even though we didn't sleep much! Recommended dining that we tried: Johnny's Deli huge delicious portions and free refills on sodas and coffee, Ichiban Sushi (if you like sushi, it was yummy and fresh and they do take out too)! Sidewalk cafe-great for all meals, but we had breakfast there (Eggs Benedict and fluffy pancakes). The gambling was fun, we mostly stayed on the penny slots and won several times. Free drinks to be had even if you're on the penny slots, but don't forget to tip waitress $1/drink ro she wont come back! Behind the hotel was a great breakfast place where the locals go called "Ellis Island"... huge portions for half the price of hotel dining. (for $3.99 you get 2 pancakes, 2 eggs and 2 bacon or sausage)! Across the street at Bill's Gamblng hall and saloon, we had a prime rib dinner for $14.99 that came with salad and potato of your choice. The Paris hotel is joined to Bally's and is spectacular ! French cafes, shops and fountains make you feel like you're in France!

I can't say enough about this hotel! We will be back and will recommend to all!

When we checked in we went to our room which was in the "older" tower - we were a little disappointed until we got there and realised that right outside our window was Paris, the Eiffel Tower, and to the right you could see the fantastic Bellagio water fountains from the window - amazing!

Our toilet was broken when we got there but within 5 minutes of phoning reception a lovely gentleman came and fixed it immediately and was gone in no time - now that's what I call service!

Our room was really big and spacious and the furniture, although rather old and dark wood, was extremely clean and comfortable.

Couldn't fault our hotel, it was great and you could walk straight onto the monorail station at the back. Will definitely return - can't wait!!

As a regular player at Harrah's properties I received a pretty good rate for Bally's Las Vegas so I decided to give it a shot. After receiving a little something from me, the receptionist managed to move me to the North Tower - highly recommended because while it is the older of the two towers, it is the most recently renovated and is also closest to the casino, restaurants etc.

The room was very big & decently appointed. The bed was quite comfortable, the love seat was a nice touch and the thermostat was easy to use & kept the room at a nice cool temperature. Really the only complaints I have about the room are that I think the shower should have doors instead of the dollar store curtain they throw up, and also the housekeepers need to do a better job of refilling the towels.

As for the Bally's property, since I wasn't there 24/7 it was allright. The choice of restaurants could've been better, and the lack of a decent place to get coffee (other than a way overprices wannabe starbucks kiosk) was a bit of a turn-off. The problem with Bally's is that it's a long walk to get anywhere on property. Also, the pool area is pretty dull. The fact that they have a deep end - a rarity on the strip - is nice, but there's really nothing going on there, sort of a letdown if you've been to mandalay, mirage or any of the other places on the strip that have superb pools.

Overall I really can't complain too much. Employees who I encountered were very nice, dealers were mostly very nice, and they were very accomodating with anything I asked for. I guess I'm just a little bit jaded having stayed at more upscale properties, but for the price I paid I think I got my moneys worth.

I have to be honest that I can't speak about value for your money because we were fortunate enough to go with a friend who does a lot of business in Vegas. She was comped our room (which was INCREDIBLE) but we didn't pay for it. It was a 4 bedroom lock-off with a 2 story living room in between. Two bedrooms were on one floor -- there were stairs in the living room that went up to the second floor for the other 2 bedrooms. It was magnificent. But, I have no idea what it would have cost it had it not been comped.

But I do want to talk about the hotel because we really did like it. We spent a lot of time at the pool and it was comfortable and had lots of area both in and out of the shade. The band in the casino lounge was AWESOME; very danceable music and they were a joy to watch. They love their job and it showed. Great, musicians and artists. We preferred being there to going to a show.

Every morning, we ate at a small deli downstairs at the pool level. If you go downstairs, there is a long hallway that takes you to the pool. There are some shops there (a great one with natural stone jewelry where we bought all kinds of Christmas presents), a sports bar that was packed on game day, and across from the sports bar was the little deli. It was next to a pizza place which was good as well. Anyway, the deliv serves breakfast until 10:30 and you get a LOT of food and it's really good. We had every breakfast on the menu and recommend it all. Ranged from $6.50 to 6.99 or so but well worth it! and the coffee was good as well.

The last reason we really liked Bally's was because it is smack dab in the middle of the strip -- opposite Bellagio's. We took cabs from one end to the other and that was definitely the way to go! Don't bother with the monorails or buses; you will walk your legs off and the cabs save your legs for what is important. You'll have more energy left at the end of the day. Save some of the gambling money and take a cab. Also, take a cab to and from the airport. It's so close and it saves you hours of time!!!

We had an awesome time in Vegas just visiting all of the other hotels and gawking at the sights and artistry of each of the hotels. They were all so different and we loved it and can't wait to go back.

for my first time staying in a big hotel on the strip, i absolutely loved ballys! i loved the gambling, the location, the view from our room, most everything! our bed was super comfy and oddly enough i also remember absolutely loving the coffee there! (which was a good things since to have room service bring a pot of coffee up was about $15 if i remember correctly). this year we're going to try a different hotel, and i hope it lives up to the cleanliness and fun we had staying at Ballys!
