Although this is well located on the strip and a place I have stayed at many times, something has changed. We had rooms that had been hidden since the 70's. The furniture was banged up as though it had been in a frat house. We had 3 rooms and none of them had bedspreads. They also charged $30 a day for an extra person (over 2 people). It was my 1 year old grandson! Also, the buffet that used to be great, is closed. It is probably a good spot for a spring break trip for college kids, but for a family looking to enjoy a nice hotel, I'd go elsewhere!

We picked Bally's because of its central location and great price. I've been to Vegas in the past and stayed at the Veneten which is an incredible, yet stuffy, place. Bally's is a great deal for its price and location. It connects by bridge in all directions, so if your making the "rounds", you can always wind up at bally without repeating your steps. Be warned, you will be jealous, when you see the pools, restaurants and upscale atmosphere of many of the other casinos, however, look at the costs and decide how you want to spend your money... and you will spend money. As far as service, cleanliness, etc., your going to hear stories at all extremes for every casino...Don't forget, you must try the fremont experience at least one night. Enjoy..

“North Tower room was great!”

Bally's Las Vegas

After reading reviews here, we requested a North Tower room and had a large, very clean room on a non-smoking floor. Asked for and received extra pillows. Staff was very friendly-dealers were super!! LIked the central location on the Strip. Would definitely stay here again.

“Great value - clean and convenient in the North Tower!”

Bally's Las Vegas

Mar 27, 2008

My boyfriend and I stayed at Bally's over the Easter long weekend. We had booked the classic room, thinking that we would be stuck with the South Tower rooms. There was a Bally's Hot Deal discount happening on their website so we were ok with paying a great price for the South Tower rooms. (Couldn't be that bad, right?)

We arrived at the hotel and saw quite a bit of people in the regular check-in line up. However, the line moved quickly and we were able to check in within 15 minutes. I asked if we could get a room in the North Tower and we were granted with that request!

The reception/lobby area wasn't very crowded; the way towards the North Tower elevators could be a little crowded since there are many slot machines there but it wasn't terrible to get through.

We were on the 7th floor and although the view was non-existant, the room was clean! The bathrooms were clean and honestly, we were absolutely thrilled with our decision to stay at Ballys!

We didn't eat at Bally's (we ate at Le Creperie and the Paris buffet, which is right next door). We didn't even gamble at Bally's because it was quite busy and the casino is a little smaller than others. But all in all, it is an excellent place to stay as it is comfortable, clean and convenient to get elsewhere on the strip! So, we highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in the central strip and would like a simple, yet clean, room! Cheers!

“Not wowed by Ballys in Vegas”

Bally's Las Vegas

Mar 24, 2008

I stayed overnight at Ballys and was a little under-impressed by the room and mish-mash of complex hysteria at Reception.

I thought distant car-park location, crowded Reception area and tired room decor were a little disappointing. The staff weren't anything special but granted I stayed only one night and Vegas is Vegas with never-ending crowds of people.

Although my group was very fortunate on the Slot Machines at Ballys, I think I will stay elsewhere next time I'm in Vegas. Something about Ballys didn't 'wow' me at all.

    • Disliked — Reception area man, way too crowded with all those slot machines!
