Myself and wife played this course in September 2008 . My parents joined us in Vegas so while they did their tours we played golf. There are so many courses to choose from....We chose this one for the following: Website was appealing and it was an old Vegas course; proximity to our hotel on the strip although we did rent a car; price was right - - - we thought it wouldd be great.
We pulled up and it looked abondoned with maybe 5 cars in the parking lot !!
Well, we thought this is great since we are not that good of golfers we won't be stressed out with having to play with some good players or being rushed.
Weather was nice and we were excited to get on the course and enjoy the day .....
Well after about the third or fourth hole I realized this course was not turning my crank whatsoever.......I like to enjoy the course as much as the game but this course was simply BLAH !!! Half of the homes alongside looked like crackhouses and it was simply not exciting to play.
Oh well - I guess we can say we played the old Las Vegas National......but never again.......Although we did not waste our money because it was not nearly as expensive as some of the others but we definately waste our time !!! We played Rhodes Ranch the next day - This course is not the best of the best but it felt like Royalty compared to the National.
Definately would not recommend the Las Vegas National.
We had a beer afterwards and there was a couple of guys on business from Seattle I believe.....they felt the same as they were very dissapointed they wasted their time also.
