Myself and wife played this course in September 2008 . My parents joined us in Vegas so while they did their tours we played golf. There are so many courses to choose from....We chose this one for the following: Website was appealing and it was an old Vegas course; proximity to our hotel on the strip although we did rent a car; price was right - - - we thought it wouldd be great.
We pulled up and it looked abondoned with maybe 5 cars in the parking lot !!
Well, we thought this is great since we are not that good of golfers we won't be stressed out with having to play with some good players or being rushed.
Weather was nice and we were excited to get on the course and enjoy the day .....
Well after about the third or fourth hole I realized this course was not turning my crank whatsoever.......I like to enjoy the course as much as the game but this course was simply BLAH !!! Half of the homes alongside looked like crackhouses and it was simply not exciting to play.
Oh well - I guess we can say we played the old Las Vegas National......but never again.......Although we did not waste our money because it was not nearly as expensive as some of the others but we definately waste our time !!! We played Rhodes Ranch the next day - This course is not the best of the best but it felt like Royalty compared to the National.
Definately would not recommend the Las Vegas National.
We had a beer afterwards and there was a couple of guys on business from Seattle I believe.....they felt the same as they were very dissapointed they wasted their time also.

Don't be fooled by the enticing photos on the website. The course is NOTHING like the lush green fairways depicted in the pictures. There was trash littered about the drainage areas, and the surrounding homes looked like crack houses. The staff was very nice, but the course itself was in a horrible state of disrepair. For the price, you can have a wonderful golf experience anywhere else. How my husband survived the day: instead of skins, they wagered on who was able to find the tiny sliver of green on the otherwise brown course. The only positive aspect would be the ability to tell your tale of survival afterward.

Course is in need of repairs the fairways, rough and greens were not in good condition. The course should be priced below thirty dollars but it's much more for tourist. The plus side is the course does have a nice layout. If the course is renovated it will be worth returning

Do not waste your time and money to play this dump. Slum housing all around course. Really slow play. Course conditions were absent. They used to play a PGA tour event here????????? Ya back in 96 and it looks like they haven't watered the grass since!! The greens were really beat up, tee blocks were like hitting off concrete and not very much green grass around even on greens. I only payed $79 to play and I wouldn't even play it for $20 in future. Stay away from here. The website and pictures of course show it really green and nice but don't be fooled.

Entire course in a shocking state, fairways and greens in awful condition.
Course surrounded by slum housing and generally has a 'down at heel' appearance.
I was there two days ago with my wife (20th Sept 2007) and would strongly suggest you give this course a big swerve.
Try Sienna, which is reasonably priced and an excellent course or the Royal Limks which is pricey but a great mock up of holes from different British Open courses..St Andrews, Troon, Hoylake etc. Superbly fake and really enjoyable.
