This high-tech, super contemporary hotel has it all ! Newly built in Dec. 2008 it features everything one would want in your own home. And CLEAN. Located in Summerlin on the northwest side of Las Vegas next to the red rock hills, hiking and 12 golf courses.

WOW! Our room with a King Size Bed was a full 400 square feet. It featured: full kitchen with dark bamboo laminate, non-skid, non-scratch flooring, aqua-green/taupe horizontal glass tile backsplash, under cabinet lighting, quartz countertop, under-mount stainless sink, digital dishwasher and IKEA inspired MTF white cabs-(inside were very contemporary square plates and the new "stemless" bubble wine glasses..) toaster, full stainless steel fridge (and ice cubes) paper towels...and ORGANIC cleaning agents-Seventh Generation.

Bath was a "WOW" also: large and super clean it featured, full wall glass shower doors + Landscape shower head + chrome handheld bar shower all set into a surround of combination brown/aqua/teal bamboo tile and and contemp square 'pool' bowl on glass counter. They provide thick white, WESTIN brand towels and a hair dryer.

Bedding was all Westin - even featuring a double duvet system. If you like to sleep cold, you can turn up the AC and sleep under a lightweight TOG summer duvet, or toasty with the added heavyweight winter duvet on top. All sheets are organic cotton-and are for sale in the room's Westin catalog of soft furnishings inside the glass topped desk. Bed was large and very, very comfortable.

Grandchild loved the L-shaped taupe tweed couch that faced the swiveling, HI-DEF TV. This is a great stay for the internet special of $103 per room per night. Pool was ok for lolling about-only 4 feet deep. We used the outdoor commercial sized, outdoor stainless grill and invited family over for dinner. They allow pets 40 lbs and under on the first floor.

Quiet cement floor and wall construction with absolutely no noise between rooms or floors. Quiet and 30 minutes away from noisy Las Vegas gambling city centre. Price includes cooked breakfast of healthy foods: egg-white & tomato english muffin sandwiches (bacon added if you prefer)- strawberry & yoghurt smoothies- banana nut muffins and Danishes and great coffee!

FINALLY..a Spa-like hotel that is affordable !!

Element is a new hotel concept from W Hotels and they got it all right. Well designed, comfortable modern rooms with everything you need right at hand. Internet access. Refrigerator and oven. Well thought out desk area. Fabulous beds. Great bathrooms with spa shower. Free parking. Free breakfast with style and fresh juices. Location is away from the noise and congestion of Las Vegas which is a good thing for us. Nice restaurants and shopping in Summerlin.

We were so glad to find Element. The best new concept in hotels today. Only thing I would change is towels could be bigger and fluffier.

I stayed here for two nights for several business meetings occuring outside of Summerlin. It's a bit of a drive to get to most places in Vegas, particularly the Strip, but this hotel is so worth the drive. The rooms are huge, with new appliances, kitchens, free business center services, and free breakfast. All for reasonable rates. I highly recommend this hotel. Plus, the staff is excellent. I can't say enough good things about it. It's now my hotel of choice whenever I go to Vegas for meetings.

Love this new chain of hotels from Starwood Preferred. Very stylish large rooms, well laid out. Bathrooms are terrific. Full kitchens include burners and oven, full size fridge, microwave and sink. All in stainless. Great desk space, LTV hi-def, iPod docking stationm, bathroom with great shower and vessel sink. I've never seen a room like this, modern and functional. Wonderful W beds. Free internet and breakfast. This is our new first choice when we're traveling. I heartily recommend Element to all.

This is the best extended stay hotel chain I have stayed in yet. Hands down beats the competition. Problem is there aren’t that many around. I like the overall design and function of the Element better than their new sister chain Aloft. Element exudes quality Aloft exudes cheap. Hotel is generally quiet on the week days and really busy with families on weekends. Try to get a room (with an even number?) that does not face the highway- some road noise seeps in. Not enough to keep you up at night but noticeable.
Location: Easy access off of 215 on the West side of Las Vegas, this is not a place to stay if you want to walk the Las Vegas strip. There is a gas/convenience store across the street, an Albertson’s grocery store 15 min walk and by car there is plenty of shopping and restaurants one and two miles away. Outside the hotel there are long stretches of wide side walks good for running/jogging
Staff: Friendly and courteous. The staff appeared to like working here which translates.
Facilities: Modern minimalist. Pictures on their website are accurate. The social area has a large screen TV and a Nintendo Wii. There are two desktop computers for personal use and a kiosk for airline check in. Exercise facility had duplicate machines.
Amenities: DVD Player, Flat Panel TV, Full Kitchen Frig/Dishwasher/Stovetop- no oven, plenty of dishware/flatware/pots and pans. They even supply sea salt and pepper corn grinders. Breakfast bar was well maintained and usually had one or two unique main course items a day. Evening appetizers were different each night and interesting not the usual fare you might find at a concierge lounge. Neither was a grand experience but enough to satisfy.
Security: Room has hotel safe. The outside was well lit at night. Newly built up area felt safe.
