This is the best extended stay hotel chain I have stayed in yet. Hands down beats the competition. Problem is there aren’t that many around. I like the overall design and function of the Element better than their new sister chain Aloft. Element exudes quality Aloft exudes cheap. Hotel is generally quiet on the week days and really busy with families on weekends. Try to get a room (with an even number?) that does not face the highway- some road noise seeps in. Not enough to keep you up at night but noticeable.
Location: Easy access off of 215 on the West side of Las Vegas, this is not a place to stay if you want to walk the Las Vegas strip. There is a gas/convenience store across the street, an Albertson’s grocery store 15 min walk and by car there is plenty of shopping and restaurants one and two miles away. Outside the hotel there are long stretches of wide side walks good for running/jogging
Staff: Friendly and courteous. The staff appeared to like working here which translates.
Facilities: Modern minimalist. Pictures on their website are accurate. The social area has a large screen TV and a Nintendo Wii. There are two desktop computers for personal use and a kiosk for airline check in. Exercise facility had duplicate machines.
Amenities: DVD Player, Flat Panel TV, Full Kitchen Frig/Dishwasher/Stovetop- no oven, plenty of dishware/flatware/pots and pans. They even supply sea salt and pepper corn grinders. Breakfast bar was well maintained and usually had one or two unique main course items a day. Evening appetizers were different each night and interesting not the usual fare you might find at a concierge lounge. Neither was a grand experience but enough to satisfy.
Security: Room has hotel safe. The outside was well lit at night. Newly built up area felt safe.
