We got a really good rate through an online service - but the room we got was awful. When we got there, we had trouble locating the check in desk, and were met by people trying to sell us timeshares or something. Once we found the check -n desk, the line was horribly long. So we used the automatic check in kiosk. The room we got was awful. It was right next to the elevators on the 4th floor, very far from the pool, and had no view. When we looked out the window, we had a view of a concrete wall, four feet away - perhaps that was the parking garage. The check in line was so long, we did not try to change it.

To get to the elevators it was a long walk through the casinos. The odor in the casino was bad - seemed like way too much air freshener that was not really covering the smell.

The room was clean enough. The pool was a very long walk, and the water was salty and cold. The kids did not want to stay long.

We did enjoy the visit to the Tower. It is free for guests between 10 and 12. There is a good discount on the rides, but it was a bit of a run-around to find out where to buy the discounted tickets.

We were frustrated by the parking. The primary garage was very far from our room, but every time we used the closer one we got a different story about where we were allowed to park.

I would not consider staying here again.

We stayed at the Stratosphere the week of July 4. This was our second stay this year and again, we were very pleased with the room and service. Check-in on July 3rd was less than five minutes and we received a room in the Premier Tower. We always rent a car so staying here is not a problem. The buffet was good, as well as Roxy's Diner. The slots have always been loose here and we both came out ahead. The housekeeping is always great also. I highly recommend the Stratosphere.

My husband and I stayed at the Stratosphere Hotel from July 17 - July 22. Don't let these bad reviews scare you into not wanting to stay here.

Guest Check In - we had a friendly and helpful staff person check us into our room. He explained all of the packets he gave us regarding free show tickets and buy one get one tickets.

Room - was clean and basic with 2 queen beds. The view wasn't all that great but who sits in their room to look out the window. We come to Vegas to gamble and see shows.

Casino - was large and had a variety of slot machines and games. The drink girls were a little slow but was told by a dealer that they are short staffed but it picks up during the middle of the week. Which in fact it did and we had drinks all the time.

Food - Courtyard Buffet, Roxy's Diner and Lucky's Cafe all had good food and a variety to choose from. We had a good meal every time.

Shows - Viva Las Vegas was a good show and is free. We also saw Bite (buy one get one tickets). It was a decent show and played good rock music.

Pool - was large, clean, had a lot of seating and played a variety of music. They also had a snack bar and outside bar.

Hotel Location - was a bit far from other casinos but if you like to walk then do so. One day my husband and I walked from the Stratosphere to Harrah's. The only problem we had was being bothered by the time share people which we started to ignore.

We did have a problem with our TV one evening and we called the front desk. I timed the maintenance person and it took him 7 minutes to get to our room and it only took him 3 minutes to fix our TV.

All in all we had no problems or complaints about the Stratosphere hotel. The employees were very nice and friendly and accommodated you in anyway they could. We would definitely stay here again.

Stayed At The Stratosphere On A Ten Day Vacation.
The Hotel Is Fine, The Rooms Are Large And Clean, The Only Thing That Lets The Room Down Is The Size Of The Bathroom (Its Small)
The Pool On the 8th Floor Was Great And Free For Hotel Guest's As Was The Gym And Laundry.
The Hotel And Casino Staff Were Friendly and Helpful
The Only Downside About The Stratosphere Is The Location, The Streets Surrounding Are A Little Rundown, But We Felt Them Safe Enough On A Night As There Was Always Lots Of People Around.
All In All, A Nice Hotel (& Casino)
Take My Advice, The Duce Busses Are Useless For Travel Up And down the Strip. Pay A Little Extra And Use The Monorail!!!! (Nearest Station Is A Short Walk Away At The Sahara

My boyfriend and i stayed for a week at the stratosphere.
It was very cheap (55/nite-average). They had pretty good services and the room looks very new and clean. The view of the city was also very good from the room we stayed in. The room service was good, they bring us all our towels and supply very quickly.

The pool was nice, but is a little shallow and small, actually it was much smaller than what it looked like in the photos we saw of it online. You had to pay for internet that charged like $24 for three days or $9.00/per day usage or something and the internet wasnt even that good-a little slow. You also had to paid some ridiculous price for watching a movie.

They have free laundry for guest, which is nice, they laundry room are very clean. The tower and the entertainments they had there are very good.

The top of the world restaurant is awesome, but a little expensive. It a must try experience if you dont mind the high price.
