We spent 4 days here with my two teen age children just prior to our wedding at the Bellagio. For the last 2 days we were joined by the "Mom's" (my mom and my soon to be mother in law). It was a great place for our needs-the kids loved the tower and the thrill rides, the McDonalds and the pizza place on the shopping level were big hits and even the mom's enjoyed the view from the indoor observation deck. We had a rental car and parking was easy. I definately recommend the Premier Tower rooms-access to the garage is quick, Starbucks is right at the elevators, and also access to the shopping level is easy. The best part was you don't have to walk across the casino every time you come and go. We have stayed in both towers and the Premier is definately better. Our room was clean and the staff was good at keeping it that way, despite 2 messy teenagers and their exploding suitcases. The pool area was great, although the really loud holiday weekend dj was a little bit much. We were always able to get lounge chairs and it was never too crowded. Again, getting there from the Premier tower is super quick-just an elevator ride to the 8th floor. Our room was nicely decorated with 2 queen beds and a decent sized bathroom-roomy enough for the 4 of us to all be there at the same time and not fall over each other. (again, much larger than the World Tower rooms). The rooms have been remodeled and look it. We had a view of the jumbo tron on the front of the building, the thrill rides above and a bit of the pool area. We ate at Roxys and Luckys and also frequented the Starbicks in the casino, where service is super fast. The kids really enjoyed Freemont Street. We also visited Red Rock Canyon, which I highly recommend. We want to go back in either the fall or early spring when the weather is more conducive to hiking. There's a new visitor center opening at Red Rock in the fall of 2009. We also ate at the nearby Tiffany's Diner, which was great, cheap and easy to get to. The White Cross Drugstore (Where the diner is located) sells very reasonable supplies-tooth paste, post cards, shampoo, even alcohol. We bought a styrofoam cooler for $2 to keep bottled water and drinks in our room. It worked out really well. Overall, the Stratosphere is a great value for families. We will go back with the kids again.
