We booked this hotel for our latest trip to Vegas (we go about 3 times a year). We generally stay at a "Harrah's/ Imperial Palace" kind of place because of the price and location. We decided to try a new place & got a great price on the Westin (especially considering that we were there during Spring Break time & the beginning of March Madness). This hotel is kiddie-corner from Bally's (great Sports Betting place/poker, etc.)
Casino
The casino is small, yet never too busy. It's quiet but fun with a group of people get going--drinks in this area weren't fabulous;however, it didn't deter us from having fun.
Rooms:
Bed was comfortable, bathroom, shower--was great, plenty of amenties, tv,etc. worked great (for the few minutes we watched!).
Pool:
Pool wasn't crowded (its much smaller than others, yet not packed at all.) Very comfortable lounge chairs! Bar service like all hotels.
Location:
Great location--off the strip, yet located center strip by Flamingo, Bally's, Imperial Palace & Ceasar's Palace (about a 5 minute walk to strip).--better than walking from Tropicana or Mandala Bay, Luxor, etc. to the center strip hotels.
Food:
Not much to choose from at the hotel. We went to the resturants at Flamingo, Ceasar's, Bally's, & the food court is just down the road (about 5 minutes --Burger King, Subway, Pizza)--cheap & you get exactly what you expect.
Entertainment;
We're in our late 20's so we usually go out to some clubs a few times (love to dance). Pure nightclub--fun but long long line if busy (not worth the wait.--no line or little line--check it out. OPM---AWESOME club--in Ceasar's Palace (played Hip Hop!!!)--mostly an African American crowd--so so fun! Voo Doo lounge--create atmosphere! Ghost Bar--great atmosphere & view...dancing not really allowed (they try to keep it to a minimum).
If you want a nice hotel (with a comfortable setting--nice room, clean hotel, decent pool & good location--this is the place for you!
