We booked this hotel for our latest trip to Vegas (we go about 3 times a year). We generally stay at a "Harrah's/ Imperial Palace" kind of place because of the price and location. We decided to try a new place & got a great price on the Westin (especially considering that we were there during Spring Break time & the beginning of March Madness). This hotel is kiddie-corner from Bally's (great Sports Betting place/poker, etc.)

Casino
The casino is small, yet never too busy. It's quiet but fun with a group of people get going--drinks in this area weren't fabulous;however, it didn't deter us from having fun.

Rooms:
Bed was comfortable, bathroom, shower--was great, plenty of amenties, tv,etc. worked great (for the few minutes we watched!).

Pool:
Pool wasn't crowded (its much smaller than others, yet not packed at all.) Very comfortable lounge chairs! Bar service like all hotels.

Location:
Great location--off the strip, yet located center strip by Flamingo, Bally's, Imperial Palace & Ceasar's Palace (about a 5 minute walk to strip).--better than walking from Tropicana or Mandala Bay, Luxor, etc. to the center strip hotels.

Food:
Not much to choose from at the hotel. We went to the resturants at Flamingo, Ceasar's, Bally's, & the food court is just down the road (about 5 minutes --Burger King, Subway, Pizza)--cheap & you get exactly what you expect.

Entertainment;
We're in our late 20's so we usually go out to some clubs a few times (love to dance). Pure nightclub--fun but long long line if busy (not worth the wait.--no line or little line--check it out. OPM---AWESOME club--in Ceasar's Palace (played Hip Hop!!!)--mostly an African American crowd--so so fun! Voo Doo lounge--create atmosphere! Ghost Bar--great atmosphere & view...dancing not really allowed (they try to keep it to a minimum).

If you want a nice hotel (with a comfortable setting--nice room, clean hotel, decent pool & good location--this is the place for you!

    • Liked — The laid back atmosphere & location
    • Disliked — The casino is small (but its close to all the big ones if that's what you spend all your time doing)

Went to the Westin June15th - June 18th and have to say they were short on amost things. We have an 8 month old and called well in advance to see about adjoining room and a crib. We were assured that we could get both. So we got there about 4:00 PM and our room wasn't ready and had to wait 2 1/2 hours. Then they didn't have a crib, which really annoyed me since they assured me there wouldn't be a problem or we would of brought out port-o-crib with us. Then to top it off my parents air conditioner was broken and it took them 2 times to get it fixed and the carpet was soaking wet!!!!!

“Great hotel for the price, great location”

The Westin Casuarina Hotel & Spa

booked through pricline and over paid a little but still feel I had good value. Did not find the rooms small at all , beds were very nice and room very clean.

They were steam cleaning the halls carpets every day I was there, although there were marks on the carpet they were not as bad as I was led to believe on here.

Very impressed with the hotel- great location, not a big hotel which means you dont spend hours trying to find your room in the small hours, would def go back

only negative was there was a load of local calls on my bill that I had not made- most seemed to be made at 4am when I was sleeping, front desk remove them without question.

I was excited when I got the Westin for $62 a night on priceline; I had never stayed at a 4 star hotel before! Typically we get 2-3 star hotels on priceline for $35-$51 so I was excited! The hotel was nice even the janitors were friendly and the front desk staff was always out in the lobby to help you with anything.

The rooms were nice and the beds were comfortable. I have stayed at nicer 3 star hotels though. What makes this a 4 star hotel is beyond me but I was happy! One day we were gone all day and housekeeping missed our room. I was unhappy with that and they moved us to the room next door and rewarded us with enough starwood points for a free night which was very nice for the inconvenience.

You are right near the strip and the monorail is within a stones throw away. Parking is very ample too!

I would stay here again! I would pay up to say $100 for a night at this hotel which would be a lot for vegas. If you pay more than $100 a night for any hotel, you are not doing your homework!
