I was not sure what to expect after reading all the reviews, so I went in with an open mind. I go to Vegas every years so I have stayed everywhere on the strip so not staying in a strip hotel was not a big deal for me.
1) Location- Located along side of Ballys you can walk to 2 blocks to the middle of the strip. I would however take a taxi late at night which cost about $6. It cost about $12 from the south and north end of the strip so it was not that bad.
2) Customer Service- Excellent everyone was nice and friendly they had a spa on the 2nd floor that was wonderful, the restaurant that offered a good variety of food on their breakfast buffet, and the Starbucks in the lobby was a great place to grab early morning coffee. Every night except Saturday night they offer a 2 hour happy hour, in the restaurant which allows you to enjoy free beer and wine, along with small appetizers. There also lower the table limits to $.25 which is nice if you have been losing. Bar are stays open all night and they serve food all night from a small menu which is good when you get the late night munchies. There is a nice gym for those that want to work out.
3) Casino-Small but you felt very safe and secure late at night. They had several slot machines and they also offered table games as well. It was an excellent place to learn several games if you wanted to. I took the liberty to learn craps.
4) Room- Small but not shabby by no means. Yes it does appear to be small because of the amount of furniture in the room, and there is no flat screen TV in the room but you do have a large TV and all the channels and Pay for View offers that you get in other hotels. Bathroom is not large, but not small by no means. They offer the dual shower heads that are wonderful, coffee maker with Starbuck Coffee, hairdryer, and iron and iron board.
But I can not say enough about the bed! OMG I had the most rest and relaxation I ever had during a trip to Los Vegas. It was a quite hotel the spa was wonderful but the real gem was the heavenly bed. I can’t wait to visit another westn so I can sleep in that bed again.
If you get a good deal on price line like I did ($99) you can’t beat it. If you can live with out staying on the strip and being away from the noise and hustle and bustle than this is the place for you. Please be aware that you will be charged a $15 a night service fee regardless who you book this room through. I feel that is a bit steep, considering that you have to pay for internet connections. If you are not aware of ithe $15 a night charge you will be very shocked once you check out
