I was very afraid of staying here once I read the spotty reviews. I had won two nights in a raffle and then paid for a 3rd. Honestly we had no real problems, our contact with the staff was minimal, we didn't hit the pool, or the restaurant, or bar, but my husband did enjoy the workout room at least. The only real issue was it took me a week to book the room because the executive assistant was a total ditz and I had to follow up with her several times to make sure she did her job (and of course each time she had not). Maybe because I expected the worst, I'm not as upset about our stay.
I think maybe our experience was better because we were on a preferred floor, I'm sure staying on a pet floor isn't fun if you don't have pets. The room wasn't too small, bed was good, and the bathroom a good size despite lack of outlets to plug anything in. The view of the parking lot was kind of lame, but I knew that would probably happen. That hardcore cleaner smell was there at first but it faded quickly.
I was only irritated by two things: loud chatty housekeeping who start at 8am and won't stop talking! Also those taxes and fees that everyone has been talking about. I was charged all of that stuff on comped nights too. I was prepared for it, but it still is lame they can't just include it in the room rate as to not [-] off customers as they check out.
Overall I think the rooms are way overpriced for what you get. I've stayed at motels that were just as nice (minus the good minimal decor) for less than half of the rate. If you are going to pay $200 a night essentially, just go over to a funner hotel with a real casino and bar.
