DH and I stayed at Harrahs October 28 through November 2 in a classic room, sixth floor, no view, but we do not spend much time in the room anyways. Room was very clean - housekeeping was wonderful leaving plenty of clean towels upon request. The casino was fun, lots of variety of penny slots, drink service was good once the cw found us, the dueling pianos bar was lively. Enjoyed the Flavors buffet for breakfast one morning - food was fresh and hot - waitress was pleasant and kept our coffee cups full. Every Harrahs' employee (check in, cashiers, housekeeping, security , valet, waitresses) we came into contact with was polite, helpful, and thanked us for visiting Harrahs. And of course the location is a real winner!

To start with they had our resorvation's for the day before our check-in and informed us we were cancelled as a no show but would see what they could do. The next day when I went to take a shower the shower handle kept slipping up to hot, THANK GOD I checked before stepping in or I would have been burned and then the water did not shut off & dripped & dripped, when I called (4am) to inform them they asked if I wanted someone to come & look at it...DUH....YES!!!! On our return to our room (10hrs after my call) NO ONE had come to fix the problem so I called again & someone came to look at it & informed us HE knew of this problem from a previous complaint, but could not fix the problem without drilling the shower handle. No One called to find out if our problem had been resolved or to change our room with a working shower, So instead of a nice shower with my husband he held the handle from outside the shower to make sure I did not get burned. WHAT A VEGAS EXPERIENCE!!!!!

One thing I have to say about Harrah's is that I absolutely love the dealers and the Flavors Buffet....but beyond that, not so much. Stayed in the Mardi Gras tower as we were told by the rude check in guy that the rooms were newly renovated. I asked about the noise..his reponse.."this is Vegas, if your in you're room before 3am, you can't really blame anyone but yourself for the noise." Really??? Ok, so on to the rooms. After our 2 hour wait (yes, the rooms were not ready at our 11pm check in) the first one was against the elevator shaft (yay, vibration and clanking all night long) and our friends on the other side did face the Carnival Court (and yes it does go until 2am....on Halloween it was until 4am.) The odd numbers seem to be on the carnival court side and the even numbers face the parking lot and some type of cooling units that do produce some type of hum...but not that bad. Yes, you can hear toilets flush and individuals in the room next to you. The rooms were nice and well appointed with coffee makers (no decaf) but there was just too much noise for my taste. Won't stay in the rooms again and the slots are entirely too tight...but would still gamble with the dealers. And management...you need to spot check the front desk staff. They are horrible and rude. Housekeeping wasn't much better.

I have always been loyal to Harrahs no matter what other people said. After this last trip..... never again! I booked a complimentary Deluxe Executive Suite (that i've stayed in before) only to find that there was no way they were going to let me check into that room. I was given several different excuses - mostly to the effect of, you're not important enough to get into one of these suites. The funny thing is.....I have DIAMOND status there! Go figure! I guess Harrahs doesn't want to keep their most loyal customers happy. They were going to put me in one of their basic rooms and i was literally in tears before they put me into a mini suite, which happened to be a shoebox with awful furnishings and a large bathroom. I had to go back down and once again, BEG for a nicer room( which ended up being an oversized basic room). I have never been treated this way before at any property in Las vegas. On the other hand - my mom who had a basic room at ceasars palace booked was upgraded no questions asked to a mini suite with two bathrooms, a huge jacuzzi and a dual headed shower. I will never stay at harrah's Las Vegas again.... you have just lost my loyalty!

This is our fourth trip to Vegas and this time we stayed at Harrah's. What a relaxing, comfortable and exciting location. We both needed a getaway and Vegas is the spot. We are not big gamblers, but we do enjoy comfortable guest rooms and we really enjoyed ours at Harrah's. (See Picture) Nothing fancy, did not asked for anything large, and we had plenty of room for whatever. Great hospitality from everyone, good food and great service and great golf at Angel Park.
