We stayed from 6/27/09 until 7/2/09 and paid extra to have our room upgraded. The room
could have used a refrigerator and coffee pot. We stay at Harrahs in Atlantic City all the
time and the new tower there is beautiful. I can't imagine what the room would have looked like if we didn't have to pay for the upgrade. The shows were good - comedy
at the Improv and the Legends concert. The cocktail waitresses were nasty. We had
booked a tour to the Hoover Dam and at the desk where we purchased the tickets we
were never told since it was a Sunday there would be horrible traffice due to people
going home to Arizona and California. The tour guide informed us of this but it was
already too late we had purchased our tickets. The woman at the desk should inform
customers when they are purchasing tickets. We were lucky because we did not
have plans for that evening otherwise we would have been late returning back to the
hotel. Once on the bus the air conditioning was hardly working and everyone was
complaining since the it was 107 outside. The tour guide was great but the company shouldn't have sent the bus out - and this was booked by Harrahs. The pool is
horrible compared to other pools in the area. Also, played slots for 5 days and couldn't
win anything. We went across the street to the Mirage and we won!!!
A few days into the trip my husband got ill so I called my own doctor for a prescription.
When I asked the information desk where the closest pharmacy she told me there
was one near the MGM. Had to take a cab there only to find out from the valet that
there was one right near the Venetian - next hotel near Harrahs. They should be
more informed. So next trip I will not stay here - maybe will try a sister hotel. I still
love Harrahs in Atlantic City much better.
