My friends and I stayed in room 722 of the Carnival Tower June 25-27, 2009.
The Good: Location! This hotel is center strip. Easy walk to other properties and there is a "food court" right outside of the door. We did not eat there. There is a Starbucks right off of the elevators too. Room was fine for 3 guys. It is a little small but we didn't have much with us. Room was clean and has a safe. Harrahs is willing to work with you on price to get you in the door too.

The Bad: Self parking garage is confusing to enter. Table limits were $10 even on slow mornings. Casino Royal is right next door with lower limits. View from this room was of the parking garage. No big deal.

Thanks for your comments, NashvilleTNGuy and for your recent stay at Harrah’s Las Vegas. Happy to hear that you and your friends got a good deal on your room. Sorry about the table limits, however, in addition to Casino Royale, you can always find lower limits at either neighboring O’Sheas or Bill’s Gamblin’ Saloon.

We hope to see you again soon! Thanks-Stacey

We had a room in the Mardi Gras tower, it was a newer room with a flat screen tv and even one in the bathroom. The room was very nice, a little on the small side but really didn't care because it was just me and the wife. Bed was comfortable and the location can't be beat (Center Strip). Very good value.

I would like to start by saying the rooms were very clean and spacious and the bed was very comfortable. That was the best part of the stay. I would suggest that they put a coffee pot and a small refigerator in the rooms. It would have been nice to be able to make a cup of coffee when you wake up.

The negetive part was when we made the reservations I was not told that the hotel asks for a credit card and then charges that card $100.00 per night that you stay, even if your room is comp. You can imagine my surprise when they wanted to charge me $600.00 without telling me. Most hotels will take your card and hold it with out a charge until you check out. I would highly suggest that the reservation people explain this policy when the reservation made.

This was our first stay at Harrah's and we were traveling with first timers to Vegas. I had read the reviews on the problems at check-in so I was more than a bit antsy. We (the wives) waited in line for about 25 minutes. I could see some unhappy people at the counter (I over heard one person and they had a reservation thru travelocity and it wasn't showing up in the Harrah's system). Once my friend and I arrived at the desk, the clerk took both our reservations (we booked separately) and we asked to be in the same tower but I knew we had paid for a newer room. She was able to put us both in the Carnival Tower (I think we were to be in the Mardi Gras with the newer flat screen tv's. . . whatever, I didn't come to Vegas to watch tv). Our room was on the 16th floor, very comfy bed, and a view of the volcano at Mirage. My husband and I were happy with our room. Our friend were happy with their room as well.

Overall, we thought Harrah's was easier to get around than our previous trips to the Flamingo. We were also happy with both the buffet and their cafe.

My husband and I stayed at Harrah's from May 4th- 9th..Upon checking in @ 11:30 a.m. our room was ready, we had a room on the 15 floor in the Mardi Gras tower..rooms were nice, nothing to complain or rave about...but when in Vegas..no need for a big fancy room. I was not impressed with the Casino. the layout did not make me want to gamble there..We liked the casinos on Freemont Street..much more variety, and the waitresses were always around!! Harrah's is right in the middle of everything, we went to the Revolution club at the Mirage..so wearing my heels wasn't a big deal because of the short walk. The pool was ok, smaller than alot of other Vegas pools, but we were able to find two pool chairs..and were out there till the closing time of 6..drinks were 10 bucks a piece for a daquiri, which I guess is reasonable..overall we are staying again in the end of August so I guess they got us to come back.. ( no problems with smoke in the room and we are non-smokers..
