This was our first stay at Harrah's and we were traveling with first timers to Vegas. I had read the reviews on the problems at check-in so I was more than a bit antsy. We (the wives) waited in line for about 25 minutes. I could see some unhappy people at the counter (I over heard one person and they had a reservation thru travelocity and it wasn't showing up in the Harrah's system). Once my friend and I arrived at the desk, the clerk took both our reservations (we booked separately) and we asked to be in the same tower but I knew we had paid for a newer room. She was able to put us both in the Carnival Tower (I think we were to be in the Mardi Gras with the newer flat screen tv's. . . whatever, I didn't come to Vegas to watch tv). Our room was on the 16th floor, very comfy bed, and a view of the volcano at Mirage. My husband and I were happy with our room. Our friend were happy with their room as well.
Overall, we thought Harrah's was easier to get around than our previous trips to the Flamingo. We were also happy with both the buffet and their cafe.
