I was invited to share a room with a friend who had a comped room for a week so I can't comment on the price. We had a room on the 18th floor.

Found the furnishings to be updated and nice. It was very clean and comfortable. We walked to several differents casino's as Harrah's is in such a wonderful central location. But spent most of our time there as the temps were excessive at 108 degrees.

There are multiple restaurants (9) and we tried:

Café at Harrah's
Flavors, The Buffet
Ming's Table
Starbucks Coffee

Had a good experience at all four.

Harrah's has a great variety of different games and levels. Lots of penny games as well as quarters, dollars and table games.

I'd stay here again anytime!

“Harrah's is fine--just avoid the timeshare spiel”

Harrah's Las Vegas Casino & Hotel

Usually stay at Harrah's when in Vegas because of the price. It is nice, although I know some of the hotels on the strip are a lot fancier. Our room was clean and everything else was fine. However, whatever you do avoid the Wyndham Hotel spiel if anyone offers it to you at the front desk. RUN! We were offered free tickets to "Legends in Concert" and a free buffet at the Imperial and decided to do it spur of the moment. Boy, were we sorry. They told us it would last two hours and it ended up being 4 hours. Even dragged us over to the Wyndham Resort. We felt trapped. They try to sell you a time share and tell you it is no pressure, all the while twisting your arm. My husband finally lied and said he had a conference call from China. I even believed him, as sometimes he does. He said it's the only way he could think to get away, ha ha. The buffet at the Imperial was not that good, although we did have a good time at Legends. We worked hard for those tickets! Never again. Other than that, the hotel is fine. Just avoid Wyndham if you are offered anything. YUK!

I stayed at Harrah's from August 17 to the 22nd. We booked our room right off of the Harrah's website for 49.00/per night. My girlfirend and I went with another couple, and the desk clerk made sure we were right across the hall from the other couple.

The room was great, except the bathroom door didnt close completely close all the way.

Toby Keiths has some great food. My gf loved the "freedom fries". Lunch is a good time to go there if you dont like country music. Later at night, they blast the country music.

The gambling at Harrah's and at other hotels on the strip can be expensive. There is no blackjack for less than 10.00 per hand. So if you are unlucky, it's easy to lose cash fast. You can play cheaper table games on Fremont street.

Right next to Harrah's is Casino Royale. CR has 1.00 beer and margaritas. Skip the beer, cuz it tastes horrible. My gf won money on the big wheel of fortune game.

Take the Monorail to the other hotels. Do not take the Deuce!!! The Deuce is always packed cuz it's so cheap. The monorail costs more but u get to the other hotels sooo much faster. So take the monorail and you'll see so much more.

The airconditioning is on sensors. We didnt have a problem, except one night i woke up sweating <probably cuz i hadnt moved for a couple hours>.

Overall, I had a great time. I would for sure stay at Harrah's again.

We have just returned from a 5 night 6 day stay at Harrah's in Las Vegas. We chose this hotel for price and location and were very happy with our choice. The hotel is centrally located on the strip - a walk either direction takes you to the more fancier hotels, but Harrah's was the most fun!! The Kareoke bar and duelling pianos were always entertaining. We gambled a little at each hotel and did not win a whole lot anywhere but did not loose our shirt either. We were in the Carnaval Tower, 5th floor, no view, but a very nice room, king bed and everything you needed for a comfortable stay. The pool was average, but was so hot that we didnt spend too much time down there except for an early morning swim. We would definately stay at Harrah's again, and would most definately recommend it to friends and family for future trips.

We have being staying at the Harrah's properties for the past 10 years, mostly at Harrahs. We have never had a bad experience at this hotel and usually have our rooms comped. The friendliness of the staff out weighs the slightly older feel of the hotel. The comps don't seem to be as good as they used to, rarely offered a free weekend night. The Venetian just sent us an offer for 3 free nights and most weekends are included. We will be going in Sept, and thinking this is going to be so much nicer than the other hotels , I will write a review when we return.
