Being a Total Rewards member, I get comp rooms at Harrah's properties. However, for paying guests, Harrah's is one of the most reasonable of the strip casino hotels in Vegas. The casino is loaded with popular games, the buffet is good, and the staff is friendly. Never had to wait for my drink to get empty with the cocktail waitresses. Most rooms overlook the eastern part of the city, or the service road, but who comes to the room to stare out the window? You can request a strip view, but might not be worth the price. The beds are comfortable and clean. Mini bar is a traditional rip off, and prohibits you from storing your own stuff. Good news is you can request a mini-fridge for free to be brought to your room. I was comped a king bed, strip view room for free, but when I checked in (early) I got 2 double beds, city view. It takes a lot for me to complain, so I just took the room and was happy. Bathroom was clean and functional, and the carpets and sheets were also clean. TV had many channels, and offered video check out. My largest complaint with this property is the AC system. It is on a sensor, which shuts off when you are NOT in the room, or sleeping. Thus, you often wake up in the night sweating, or return from a day of being in the DESERT SUN hot, only to find your room even hotter. I understand the need to save energy, but find somewhere else to cut back. Guests want their rooms comfortable. I think you can call the front desk, and if you get someone smart they can have an engineer put the thermostat on bypass, which gives total control back to you. I didn't try it, the weather was in the 50's at night this time, so I left the window open for cool, fresh air. Internet access is $11, but you should be on the casino floor anyway, not goofing off on Myspace. It is a long walk from the parking garage to the strip, but all the places are like this. Short walk to the room elevators, and the elevators moved fast.
