My husband and I stayed at Harrah's in the beginning of March and eloped! We go to Harrah's in Atlantic City so we were able to get really great rates on our room. When we got to the check -in I explained to the representative that we were planning on getting married and any upgrades they could provide would be very much appreciated. She said that she couldn't really do anything but then the rep next her was going on and on about this great room that she was going to put this older couple into and the mini bar and complete renovations, view, etc. .... So our rep told us that she was able to find us a very nice(renovated) room in I think it's called the Mardi Gras tower....one is renovated and one is not. She was very nice about it. Our room was on the second to the top floor with a view of Treasure Island and the Venetian. We had a king size bed, flat screen plasma and a smaller flat screen plasma in the bathroom(which was very nice). It was clean and very nice. We ate at Flavors buffet at Harrah's one night and it was pretty good but we were both intoxicated so it's not a fair judgement. We also ate at their cafe which was ok....had bbq chicken pizza. Their sports book is fun and inviting....not as nice as some of the other ones but unpretentious. The bartenders are really funny and nice. The cocktail waitresses at Harrah's are attentive, quick and really nice...they always say "have a lucky time" and really sound sincere about it. We rented a hummer one day and when we were waiting outside the front entrance to be picked up, we spoke with an extremely friendly and lovely Harrah's employee who hung out with us for awhile when were waiting. There are two starbucks in the hotel.....In the early morning there is usually a wicked long line at the one on the main floor so I would reccomend the starbucks on the second floor across from Toby Keith's. We won some money on the "go nuts" slot machine and then lost it in the sportsbook. Overall, we had a fabulous time in Las Vegas and I would definitely stay at Harrah's again when we go back because our room was super nice, the staff was great & it is centrally located.....you can't get a better location....you are literally in the middle of everything.

Just returned home from 6 days in Vegas - my first time ever. We booked everything - flights, hotels, shuttle, shows - on line through Orbitz with a little trepidation, but were pleasantly surprised. Nearly everything went without a hitch - and who can control airplanes? Harrah's was wonderful. Central to everything, best buffet on the Strip, friendly waitresses, great table staff. They even coached us through our first attempt at craps. We will definitely make Harrah's our home base the next time we're in Vegas. The only problem was the flight AND airport staff at LAX. Nearly missed our connector to get home because no one would help us get from terminal 1 to terminal 2, plus had to go through security again. A great trip - and a wonderful place to visit. Thoroughly enjoyed walking and sightseeing the entire Strip.

Hotel room was nice for a Las Vegas hotel. Room was spacious, clean, and quiet. Not too glitzy. Casinos were boring and the cigarette smoke removal system extremelly poor. Check-in and check-out were quick and easy.

    • Disliked — Smoke-removal system throughout hotel was very poor.

Wife and I stayed at Harrah's Las Vegas 2-27 thru 3-1. This is an ok place but nothing to brag about. I rate it lower than Bally's or Mirage. Bed was comfortable, pillows lousy. Stayed on the 4th floor Canival Tower, motel 6 kind of room, though clean. Loud music from outside till 2:00 a.m.

We didn’t know what to expect from Harrah's Las Vegas, since we’ve never stayed there before. We were pleasantly surprised. The hotel is conveniently located in the middle of The Strip and houses one of the Monorail stations. Our room was nice. It was in the Mardi Gras Tower, on a non-smoking floor. Everything in the room was clean and smoke-free. A nice feature was the LG flat screen tv in the bedroom and a tv in the bathroom! Everything in the room worked just fine and when our air conditioner went on the fritz, hotel staffers had a repairman there within minutes of our phone call to them. The bed was comfortable, but not the best. The pillows were a little flat, but then again, not that big of a deal. There was a free safe in the room as well.

We stayed in a room with two double beds facing the closed off pool area and neighboring Imperial Palace Hotel. It was quiet except for the evening when you could hear the live bands playing in the outdoor bar between Harrah’s and the Imperial Palace. It wasn’t too disturbing but if you are a light sleeper, it might bother you.

There are several restaurants in the hotel, but we primarily ate at the Flavors Buffet. Our first experience with the buffet was less than good – the staff seemed overwhelmed by the amount of people at breakfast. The next couple of times we ate dinner at the buffet, we had access to the Diamond & Platinum members seating area. The area is a secluded part of the dining room, just for these members. Dinner was served with one glass of complimentary wine or champagne and the waitress was very attentive to our group’s needs.

We took advantage of signing up for the players card, but don't really know what we got out of it because we didn't play that long and didn't have time to check with the hotel to see if we earned any comps. But from what we hear, the comps are better at this hotel then some of the 'higher end' hotels on the Strip.
