I was on the $59 per night special rate, so this was a good value for a property located on the Strip. The negatives were that the room air conditioning didn't work very well and the decor of the hotel is quite dated (i.e. late 1980s). Be aware that the hotel is under remodel near the "towers" and the lobby, so there is construction noise between 9 am and 5 pm. The noise is loud enough to disturb mid-day napping, and if you're playing the slot machines or dining in the coffee shop it's annoying. Finally, I found it irritating that the Luxor allows people to hound you for timeshares in the lobby near the front door, under the guise of "Hello, can I help you with anything?" The only "help" they want to give you is to steer you to a timeshare!
