I was a bit leery about staying at the Luxor after reading some of the reviews here. When my husband and I got there, we were pleased. We got a great room on the third floor in the pyramid. It was pretty big with a king-sized bed. It was clean and so was the bathroom. The bathroom was well-lit.

I don't understand the complaint some people have about the casino and lobby area being dimly lit because all of the other hotels we visited on the strip seemed to be similarly lit.

The staff at the registration and bell desk were very friendly and helpful. The girl at the attractions ticket desk was a bit snotty but, we chalked it up to her pmsing or something.

The Blue Man Group was awesome. I would definitely see that show again.
The King Tut Museum was quite informative. We got free admission with our vacation package. I think the cost is $5.

Our only complaints are the food at the buffet kinds sucked and on Wednesday night we could hear and feel the music from the nightclub.
The buffet wasn't anything special. Luckily, we got a "two for one" coupon. The music was alright at first but, it got a bit irritating when trying to sleep at 3AM and having to check out at 11 in morning.

Stayed at the Luxor from 7th-9th September. Had a West Tower room after recommendations from this site. Room was magnificent. Really posh with a nice bathroom. Really would recommend seeing the Blue Man Group at the hotel - really unusual and a great atmosphere. Liked being on the end of the Strip. Other hotels within easy walking distance. Could see the hotel when landing - only took about 5 minutes to get there. Would stay here again.

We have just returned from five nights in Las Vegas at the Luxor. Our second trip, last time we stayed at the Mandalay Bay (excellent) but chose the Luxor this time as we loved the buffet!Great rooms (we stayed in a pyramid room), two queen size beds, nice clean bathroom and maid service every day. We didn't suffer with noise at all, although we were in the main pyramid.Inclinators are weird, travelling at 39 degrees.
Desk staff friendly, express checkout on screen fab!A great place to stay. I won't come back though, purely because there are too many hotels on the Strip that I want to experience!

After reading the shocking reviews that people had been posting on this site I was expecting the worse. However when we arrived I was surprised to find the staff helpful the corridors clean, and how well the rooms were fitted out. Where are these horrible things everyone was writing about?? We couldn't find them! If you are staying here you must go and see the Blue man group, they are amazing and worth every dollar of the price of admission. It was nice being towards the end of the strip and buses ran every few minutes and only cost $2 should you want to go and see the old part of town. Only thing I noticed walking up the strip was the amount of people trying to stop you and push things into your hands. If we go back to Las Vegas I will definitely stay at this hotel again. Great value for money

We just spent 5 days at the Luxor staying inthe west tower. the rooms are large and clean . We were put off by a tray of food in the corridor that was there for almost two days 'tho. The food at the Luxor wasn't the best, bland and not much choice. We loved thre location of the Luxor away from all the sleazyness of the strip. On the whole value for $$ in Vegas , it was pretty good, better than our stay at the MGM a few yrs. ago.
