Wow! What a fantastic tour! My wife and i are both very interested in the sordid history of Las Vegas and the mob, and were delighted to find the Las Vegas Mob Tour available during our recent trip to Vegas. Our tour was on a Sunday evening and started bang on time (at 6pm) from the Royal Resort Hotel and Casino on Convention Center Drive. The tour guide came into the hotel reception area where we were waiting at a pleasant bar enjoying a drink before the tour. He was a tall chap, dressed as a gangster in a pinstripe suit and gangster hat and was immediately "in character" right from the start. I can't remember his name but he made us laugh with his fabulous mob personna and his accent (being from Chicago) was just perfect for this tour! There was about 6 people on our bus so it felt very much like a personal tour which made it even better. The mini coach we boarded was very nice and comfortable and the video system screen at the front was clear and easy to see. The tour guide was very, very knowledgeable and encouraged questions from the group which he answered with enthusiasm and accuracy. You could really tell that this guy knew his stuff and really knew how to deliver his story and keep people very interested all the way through. The coach made several stops, including Bugsy Siegel's memorial at the Flamingo, and our guide talked at length and in detail about each place we visited. I was absolutely hooked and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Sure, you should probably see the movie "Casino" before going on this tour, but then who hasn't seen this epic blockbuster of a film?! Yes, the guide makes references to the movie throughout the tour, and if you have seen the movie then great, but if you havent, it's no big deal. You can still easily follow the story. Don't listen to the whiners on here, just go on the tour and enjoy yourself!
