My sister and I stayed at the Trump for one night after three nights at Tuscany Hotel and Suites (highly recommend). I found a deal on travelzoo for the Trump and we got a standard king bed studio room. It certainly was pretty and luxurious. We used the fridge, microwave, etc and my sister said the tub was great with the jets. We had a view of the north strip. The sofa and chairs were an elegant touch. Registration people were very polite and friendly, pool waitresses pretty much ignored us. At the pool there were the beautiful rich people (who got good service) and then everyone else. There was medium loud hip hop/loungy music that created an adult, pool-party experience. Few children. The pool is beautiful though, the drinks way overpriced. We didn't eat anywhere in the hotel but chose to go to the very affordable food court at the Fashion Show Mall which is about a five minute walk (as is the Strip). I say stay at the Trump if you want to avoid casino madness and you can get an affordable room.

My first (and probably last) time to LV, booked Trump through Priceline name your own price. For $ 105 a night, we were checked in immediately and upgraded to a one bedroom suite. The lobby was calm, had a wonderful soothing fragrance, staff was cordial and efficient.
Our room was spotless: Full living room with sectional sofa, flat panel TV, dining table, full kitchen with high end appliances, fully equipped with dishes, utensils, everything we needed. Coffee in room. 2 full baths, another TV in bedroom, lots of storage and a safe. Master bath with luxury 2 person shower, spa tub, dressing table, double vanity and TV built into mirror. Everything worked flawlessly in our room. We had a "strip view," overlooking the pool (loud music there starting at 8 am.) No train noise like others have commented upon.
Other than the dance music played at the pool which we could hear in our room early in the morning, we had no complaints at all. The premises were non-smoking and non-gambling, just like we wanted. This kept the lobby relatively quiet compared to the other hotels we walked through, with their mob scenes. We normally walked to the hotel, which was about 2 blocks off the strip near Wynn, or we walked across the street through the Fashion Show Mall Nordstrom entrance. We didn't find this to be a problem for us, since we were walking all day, checking out the hotels, the shopping and the restaurants. We loved coming back to the serenity of the Trump after all the craziness elsewhere.

Despite the previous reviews of how the Trump was a ways from the strip, it had no Casino and very poor service/ turndown , even reading one review of how a customer's child found a Baggie of Cocaine upon checking into their room, I didn't really expect much as this was a last minute booking on my part with friends that were staying at the Wynn. The reservations at the Wynn were being difficult for me so I just booked a complete vacation at the the next closest hotel which was the Trump.

Upon check in we (My brother & myself) were treated very nicely and were upgraded rooms over the booking we had which was to a one bedroom . The front desk staff also gave us a late check out time of 4 pm without even asking as to accommodate our late 8pm departure flight that was apparently noted on our reservation. A full explanation of the $15 resort fee was offered as well which was another point of contention that I read in past reviews. I can see why this resort fee would appear to be Bogus especially if you have to dole out tips additionally so I asked if tipping was necessary and was explained that this fee was to take care of the tipping for the staff for the most part (minus the bellhops I think). That worked for me. I even mentioned that I had friends staying at the Wynn and asked what would be required for them to come to the pool at the Trump like I had to come down to greet them before being let in and such. Nope all that was required was that I would have to record their names at the front desk and when my friends arrived all they would have to do is give our name/room number and verify who they are then they would be given a key for the pool. I was very surprised to say the least. When I later went to the Wynn pool it felt I was going get pat down even with my friend with his room key standing beside me telling the security I was his guest. Well anyhow back to the check in, after my questions I had a half hour to meet my friends at the Mystique show at Treasure Island and explained it to the Check in staff. Well that expedited our check in as we were quickly lead up to my room and asked if we required a Taxi. The one thing that was really nice was the fact we didn't have to walk through a huge casino to find the check in counter, actually liked the fact there was no casino.

Well the room (58th floor) was bloody amazing as the view was unbelievable with the south strip out bedroom window and the north strip out the living room window, it was one heck of an upgrade. Quickly changed, downed the complementary bottle of water so we didn't melt and to my amazement when we got down to the lobby the Bellhop had a Taxi waiting. Off to the show we went. My brother returned at 4 in the morning and promptly asked the front desk if he could buy more water, they said no problem we will have house keeping bring you some. My brother returned to our room and barely took his shoes before housekeeping knocked on the door with 4 bottles of water at no charge. Keep in mind this at 4am, my friend did this at the Wynn when he returned roughly the same time and it cost him $8 for a stinkin' bottle of water.

Anyways we received much of the same service throughout the trip including the shoeshine service, I just had too... even upon departure my 4 friends couldn't even get a sniff of a late check at the Wynn so they came over to our hotel room with all there luggage in tow without even a problem. Even when we checked out and went for dinner before our flight the concierge even took my friends' luggage in for safekeeping and had a cab ready for us when we returned. When my Brother asked the Concierge why he was willing to take my friends' luggage, all the Concierge said was I hope your friends will stay at the Trump in the Future. I almost forgot that I was so impressed by our room that I asked upon check out if there was any chance of getting the same room if I return to Vegas, the manager gave me his card and told me to e-mail him when I book and before I arrive and they will the same room available for me next time. Couldn't help but feel impressed.

As for the previous reviews, the closest casino was the Wynn or Treasure Island if you cut through the mall was about a 15 minute walk away from entrance to entrance which wasn't to bad. For food our room came with a fully decked kitchen, and ABC was in the mall to pick up extras if wanted. Didn't actually eat the Trump but the mall had a wide array of food choices but you must try Maggiano’s in the mall simply excellent Italian food and the most reasonable.

By the way rooms were very clean and never did find a baggie of Cocaine in my room... ;) Sorry just had to.

this is certainly an spectacular hotel. The views are incredible, you can either have main strip view or south las vegas Blvd view, both are very nice. The rooms are a incredible! our room had a living area with flat screen, an a kitchen with top o f the line aprliances and all you need to use it, a full bath in the living rm area, the bedroom has another flat screen, a huge shower, bath tub, a tv inside the mirror. just awesome. The only negative thing is the front desk stuff, they can be snobby.

Me and my family stayed at the Trump hotel for 5 days in celebration of my mom's 70th birthday, I personally didn't care for the beds, they were aweful, soft and mushy, my mother was miserable the entire time because the bed offered no support to the back. I loved the huge soaking tubs and the little kitchens. But the entire time we were there, we were nickled and dimed to death. First of all, you have no control over your car, there are no other alternatives....VALET Parking only! So eeeeeverytime you need your car, you have to sit and wait while they drive the car to you and of course this means a "Tip" every time your car is taken away or brought to you. This is not the only reason I will never stay at this hotel, but it definately is high on the list. Also, here's a pretty slick thing we noticed that they do, the bellman who unloads your luggage on the cart, is completely different from the one who takes your luggage to your room, so you end up tipping twice. Clever huh?

In the past, we've always stayed at the Venetian, but the reason I stayed at the Trump this time is because I'm the proud pet parent of two yorkies and a daschund and this was the only "affordable" hotel that accepts dogs....of course there's the famous Four Seasons, but unless you have $400 per night....ummmm!
