when they ready a bldg for implosion, esp an old one, they also have to remove all the asbestos. believe me, the flamingo was full of it. my neighbor is the foreman for the demo job, and they have to take all kinds of safety measures with the asbestos.

My mom is going to be there on the 13th and she is staying at the New Frontier, right next door! That could be good or bad!

My son Luke is autistic and has been almost obsessed with the history of Vegas implosions (he knows the dates, places, every detail). We live in Northern California and he just came running in to tell me the Stardust implosion is set for March 12 at 2 a.m. I'd like to take him there, but don't know where we could stay that might get us close enough. I also want to make sure the time and date are firm. It would REALLY make Luke's day.

No, it's March 13th at 2 am although it may be 2:30. Not sure on that yet. but it's definitely march 13. (monday night/tuesday morning)
