I am really excited they are gonna do the fireworks. thats gonna be something!

You know, when my Husband and I were leaving Hash House a Go-Go, we saw huge puffs of black smoke... as we neared the Highway, the smoke got blacker and blacker.

We heard on the Radio that it was a part of the Stardust... some kids got into the main part (not the hotel tower) and got a pretty good fire going... that or something electric. I heard both.

I missed this thread a while back, looks like I'll be at Wynn on March 12th and will be able to watch the implosion, now that's something I don't get to do everyday.

so they are going to launch fireworks off at 2 am???

I hope someone can post a link to videos after it's gone.

I've tried to search and find exactly when the fireworks are but haven't figured it out yet. I'm gonna try to record it with my camera.

BF is confusing me because he says it'll be Monday night at 2 am, which technically is march 13, not the 12th. I really am not sure although that makes sense because he flies back Wednesday morning and they don't need to clean up or anything so for it to be Sunday night/Monday 2 am wouldn't make sense.

In any event, the fireworks will be off the building, as well as a site behind the building. I shouldn't go into details WHAT they will be doing though.. sorry. LOL But it'll be nice if all goes well! I hope it's shown live on the net so I can almost be there with him!

Yeah I saw an anouncement saying its March 13th at 2:30 am.

Thanks JackandSally for bringing this forum back up and not letting it disappear on Feb. 16th. This is definately an event I wouldn't want to miss when we're there next week. Any suggestions of when and where we should be to catch the best view?

2:30 am--Across the street would probably be the best view. You won't be able to get closer probably.
