 Stardust Implosion

Well, just thought I would see if anyone has heard the exact date of the implosion. I know its scheduled for sometime in March of this year. I drive by it on the highway everyday... they are removing all the windows for the top floors.

They must have emptied out 10 floors... and its just the bones of the structure up high....

Nick, they are the first family of fireworks-back from the 1800's! My BF works for them here on Long Island. Grucci actually has done a lot of Vegas implosions/shows. They did new years eve last year (not this previous 1) and the year before and have done a lot of openings as well.

Ok I'm going to start on my TR. :)

Yeah, they command BIG money for thier shows, but there is no one as good as them! The do an amazing job.

They did the Anniversary of the Statue of Liberty, they did some Super Bowls... just an amazing top of the line show.

It would be a thrill to see a show... for the Stardust. If you ever get a chance to see these guys work.... there is a show out there about them, too... Its pretty impressive what they do and how they do it!

Cheers!

Yep Melissa is right about all of that. :) They do Times square new years eve as well (except this past 1) They are also doing the opening of the new atlantis tower in bahamas in may!

it's a lot of hard work though. No one realizes how much time and effort it takes to full off a show. I now appreciate it because I hardly see my BF over the summer! :(

Thanks for that link Nick! BF is clueless about the dates he'll be there and I was concerned that he wouldn't be back in time for St Patrick's day in new york city which is a saturday this year! I have a hotel booked and everything so now I know he will be back. :) wish I could join him in Vegas though but it's not possible :(
