My partner and i are looking at getting married in Vegas in March. There will only be the 2 of us, we arent into anything fancy, we just want a plain service with no frills. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where to go. Afterwards I would like to take her out for a nice meal with great views of the strip. What are the top restaurants in Vegas. What we dont spend on a cheesy wedding I would rather put towards a great meal and show.

thanks for your help.

The most romantic restaurant in Vegas isn't on the strip, it's Andre's downtown. However, if you want romance on the strip here are a few suggestions. Eiffel Tower at Paris has the views and the food is good, however it is also very overpriced for what you get. I'd do Prime or Picasso at Bellagio, you can have coffee or after dinner drinks on the patio and watch the fountains. It will be chilly at night but not THAT chilly to be out for a few minutes.

If money is an issue, Mon Ami Gabi at Paris might also be a possibility for you.

There is an awesome lounge at the top of the Stratusphere. It is above the restaurant which is pretty pricey. The lounge however has the same view. Might be a nice place to sit and have a drink and look at the entire strip from waaaay up there above it all.

CYber:

I can recommend TWO chapels for you, since we got married in LV in 1997 and just renewed our vows last month.

For our first wedding, I wanted something nice - not "Vegas-y", and we chose the Little Church of the West. The service was nice (but, then again, we DID write it), the people were great, and chapel itself is so cute. It's also right next to the "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas" sign at the southernost end of the Strip. I won't talk about what it cost, since that was nive years ago and I'm sure that prices have changed.

For the renewal last month, which was on our 9th anniversary, we rented a limo and did the Drive-Thru wedding at the Little White Chapel. It was so fun, very sweet, and was only 30 or 40 dollars, plus another $40 we paid for the minister. Our limo driver took dozens of pics at their location, where there are flowers, benches, archways, etc. that made for nice photos. Plus, they have an Elvis-themed pink Cadillac that you're free to pose with, too, if you want.

As for dinner, we had it at Hugo's Cellar, downtown. It. too, was great: from the food to the service to the atmosphere.

Hi, congratulations! My husband and I were married in LV May '05.. We got tons of info from the Vegas.com site, here is the link to the wedding info: http://www.vegas.com/weddings/index.html It was just the 2 of us too, and we didn't want or need anything fancy, just a nice, simple, meaningful ceremony. We chose Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel, and it was wonderful. We had the Simplicity pkg. We arranged everything before we left, and it went off without a hitch (I kept waiting for something to go wrong, LOL). Limo picked us up at the hotel right on time, the people were super nice and friendly, and the ceremony was just what we wanted (thank you Reverend Daphne!) . Pics could've been a tiny bit better, the photographer put my husband in a couple of weird poses, but all in all, it was lovely. You can go to their website here: vivalasvegasweddings.com/live_internet_weddi…

Lots of different types of ceremonies and prices (I thought ours was very reasonable). You can see streaming video of weddings actually taking place, or view the archives for a good idea of what they're like. Hope this helps, and good luck!

Oh, and should have added, from there we went to Mon Ami Gabi at the Paris hotel for our wedding dinner a deux. We sat out on the terrace across from the Bellagio fountains, and it was fun and romantic, if a bit warm. I wouldn't trade my little wedding for anyone's (no offence to 'anyone').

Congratulations! My husband and I were married in Las Vegas

36 years ago. We are flying to Las Vegas on Monday to celebrate our anniversary and will have dinner at Hugo's Celler on Frontier St., downtown Las V egas. I have been doing a lot of research and found that trip advisor has it listed as the #2 place in Las Vegas for a romantic dinner. Will let you know.

Two great restaurants:

Andre's (downtown)-

www.andresfrenchrest.com/html/original.html

Hugo's Cellar (Femont Street- Four Queens)

http://www.usmenuguide.com/hugoscellar.html

You can't go wrong with either restaurant.

You can go to the Strat Lounge afterwards for the view. I would not eat there or at the Eiffel Tower restaurant. I have been to both and I was definitely paying for the view- the food was adequate but nothing special.
