 Vegas with kids

Always wanted to go to Vegas, more for the crazy atmosphere than the gambling. Any tips on how to enjoy it with two seven year old daughters

Some other good things for the kids: Tournament of Kings dinnershow at Excalibur, Madam Tussauds wax museum at the Venetian, the statue show in the Forum shops at Caesars, Masquerade Village in the Sky parade at Rio, Stratosphere rides, M&M World and World of Coke, Hawaiian Luau at IP. If you want to see a show, the Scintas at Rio is good (even for kids).

We are taking our two boys (13 & 11) for a couple of days. We plan on taking a plane trip over the GC, and generally just showing then all the free shows and sights. But we don't go to gamble and drink. We are not naive, neither are our kids, they are growing up after all. They will not be shocked by the leaflets on the sidewalk and if they were we would just explain! I think it is a good place for older kids to experience, supervised, as long as you are careful and not for too long. We are only in the US for a couple of years, who knows if they would ever get the chance again? But personally I would not take them if they were 5 years younger. That is not to say I would think it wrong, just at the end of the day it is personal choice on how you bring your kids up.

Sure , a town that promotes gambling , drinking, strippers/ prostitutes and excess is a don't miss if you are a child. Every good parent should bring their children here to learn some good values. From the moment you step off the plane, it is all about money and the good times you can buy with your money.

Hi nice chap, I will say that while I have never been to Vegas (it'll be my first trip this year), my brother and his wife have gone every year for the past 5 years and last year was the first time they brought their daughter (she was 9). She had a wonderful time. It's definitely, IMHO, more for adults, but it will certainly be an okay trip if you bring kids. They ventured into Circus Circus, Shark Reef, Stratosphere, Eiffel Tower, Venetian (gondola ride), M&M world, IMAX, etc. Someone else posted a list of things to do with the kiddies and I think my niece enjoyed a huge part of that. She loved it and she can't wait to go back! Good luck!

Nice_Chap - I'll echo the sentiment about Kids Quest. I used it at Texas Station for my nine year old daughter on a recent trip, and she did not want to leave the place! It is reasonably priced, and you can do adult things while they are there having fun!

As long as you avoid the places that are strictly for adults and stick to daytime activities, you should be fine with your daughters
