Hell's Kitchen winner at Red Rock....SPOILERS!!

So now that Heather has won and I'm sure the restraunt is open or at least about to be open. Anyone seen it or heard anything about it? I'm tempted to go by the restraunt when I'm in Vegas in November.

Are you saying that the Red Rock is going to go bankrupt?

Being the forum representative for all things "Station", you should contact RR and tell them to provide the menus for, at least, the better eateries there.

Southcoast already has gone belly up, and Red Rock is right behind SC. The local casino market is over saturated, and the two new ones are bleeding money and not able to generate enough cash to cover operations, responsibilites, and liabilitieswith no assets.

DrV, I will get right on that.

VHB, that's a damn shame, it's absolutely the finest hotel I have stayed at in Vegas. They certainly aren't skimping on the free rooms & comps though!

I saw an article written back in the beginning of June that said the owner of Red Rocks (Scott whatever his name is) said the winner would be working with the exec. chef of T-Bones. I'm assuming that Heather is going to train with him first and then move into her own restaurant later.

RR is not finished yet, they still have all the other Station Casinos to carry it through the current slump LV is experiencing.

South Coast is by no means finnished yet either, it is now independant of all the other Coast properties, so it has nothing to fall back on . Now that Gaughan, is the sole owner, will wait and see what happens. But from my previous Saturday night visits (very quite) and looking over the financials reports does not look good. South Coast does not have anything that sets it apart or make it unique like an anchor restuarant, night club, or tourist trap attraction. It is just your average Coast Style casino filled with slots and VP machines for locals. LV has enough of that for now.

RR is different it will at least have an anchor restuarant, if it opens, and has the fairly upscale rooms to draw some tourist in additon to the local crowd. But it's isolation may be its doom. Will see.

Nah, ya think?

I thought for sure they would take a no name sous chef and put them right into their own restaurant.

bunny ... I was half joking and half serious. I know I like to check out menus online when making plans. All the website says if T Bones or whatever is for meat lovers. Can't I get one of those at Pizza Hut?

DrV, I totally agree with you I love perusing menus online, and honestly I did just send them a friendly email suggesting they work on that. It's a fairly good website, otherwise.

VHB, that's what I figure, the Station casinos as a whole aren't going to go under (despite the bad numbers this quarter) and even though they may not be as full at RR as they'd like, hotelwise, the base clientele of Station Casinos (old locals) are certainly packing the slot machines, I guess probably Summerlin area residents who are happy to have a casino other than Sun Coast close by. Is that enough to maintain a massive and clearly exorbitantly expensive property like that? Probably not. But maybe it'll help keep them afloat for a while. Perhaps as the strip gets more and more crowded and child-infested, people will see the light like I did :)
