 1st trip to Vegas... looking for best pool/hotel on strip

I'm booking a week at the end of July... will be our first trip to Vegas with my 15 year old daughter (mother-daughter trip). Suggestions for a good hotel experience on the strip. We want a really good pool. Appreciate your help. Thanks.

It's hard to recommend a hotel without knowing what kind of budget you'd like to spend per night.

And besides a good pool, what other things would you be looking for in a property? Shopping? Restaurants of a particular type? With a teenager along your priorities may be different than other travelers since the casino probably won't be of imoprtance to you.

Mandalay Bay, Flamingo, Mirage, MGM, Monte Carlo have great pools.

When someone mentions pool, Flamingo and Mandalay Bay always come to my mind first although I agree that we could use some more details from you in order to provide more suggestions.

Best pool is Mandalay Bay -- especially for kids. Personally, I prefer MGM's pools because I find the Mandalay beach a little too cramped and busy.

Still:

No. 1 is Mandalay

No. 2 is MGM

Thanks everyone ... I am so overwhelmed with trying to figure this out. Budget ... about $100 per night - I'm looking on hotel discount sites. We want to explore and don't mind walking at all. We plan to hang out at the pool most days and then do a couple shows... shopping, just sightseeing etc... We usually go to the Caribbean but trying something different this time. Thanks again!!!

Try this website for discount codes (make sure to read the info though since some of them require you to already by a players card holder);

I forgot to mention the restaurants... we're not into expensive and fancy... I don't want to spend a lot of money on food. Salads... burgers, pizza etc. will do fine. Are there many reasonable priced restaurants on the strip?

Margaritaville is on the strip right by the Flamingo, and there's also a Hard Rock and a Harley Davidson Cafe (our kids were about your daughter's age the first time we took them..they also liked the rides at the Stratosphere)

By far Mandalay Bay is your best choice. Not only because the pool is fantastic, but the rooms are very nice and perfect for for a Mother-Daughter trip. Beautiful bathroom, and as a bonus 2 closets.

I don't mean to sound judgemental, but I can't think of any Strip hotel pool I would recommend for a 15 yr old girl on Friday/Saturday during the Summer.
