 Grand Canyon bus tour

My husband & I will be in LV first week of April, first time for both of us, and we're planning to do a Grand Canyon bus tour. (yes we know about the air tours too, but have chosen the bus tour). Has anyone taken any of them -- can you recommend (or warn against) a certain company? they all seem to be generally the same price....

thanks!

Hi, my husband and I took the Gray Line West Rim tour, (I am a bit of a wuss with heights which is why we did not fly!). Yes it is a long day but it was thoroughly worth it. The driver stopped on numerous occasions on the way there and back for photo opportunites as well as a toilet/refreshment break. At the canyon we were taken to an Indian reservation for BBQ lunch - there are fabulous views and I do not feel we missed out on the canyon experience. We would highly recomment this tour.

Thanks Coxy! I'll look up that company. We too aren't as keen on the flight trips - we actually like bus tours (and no we are not 75 yrs old!)

Anyone else taken these?

We are going to be in LV the first week in April as well and we to plan to do a bus tour instead of an air tour. When I looked on the web sites the look tours bus tour was about four hundred dollars cheaper (2 adults and 2children) than the Gray line tour. Does anyone know if the Look tour company is a reputable company?. http://www.looktours.com/

I noticed the prices from this company as well. If anyone knows the answer I'd appreciate hearing it as well!

I took the bus tour (Grey Lines, I believe) two years ago. Booked it throught the hotel (Bally's). It was the west rim tour. I believe it was about $150 but it was excellent. The tour guide was great. Lunch at the indian reservation, they also sold jewerly and things they had made, very reasonable souvenirs. Stopped at Keepers of the Wild animal sanctuary on the way back. Think we left about 6am and returned aroung 9pm. Well worth it.

Hi all,

Now that we have our flights & hotel booked, and our Elton tickets have arrived (YAY!), I want to get our Canyon tour booked. Thought I'd see if anyone new had any suggestions.

Coldinerie, how was your tour?

Thanks!
