What a great read - as were your other reports. The kids seemed to have kept up too. Question please - did the kids like the Rain Forest Restuarant at MGM and the food? Am taking my 13 yr old daughter with me in October.

I'm glad that you've done all the homework for me with regards to the Canyon trip :) My head spins every time I try and look at all the different ways of getting there.

Would you recommend doing Vegas without a car? That's what we are planning but the cab fares seem to cancel out the hire charges (am planning 3 nights in Vegas).

Of course now I might have to go back to planning as the Excalibur was on my 'that's where we're staying' list. Although to be honest at $120 for a 2 bed room it might still be a goer.

Definitely don't have a car in Las Vegas. There is absolutely nowhere to park and unless you know the back roads everything is gridlocked (think Fosse Park car park on Saturday before Christmas).

That was an excellent read - I may have missed it somewehere but was the trip to the GC focussed on the West Rim or the South Rim?

We are planning to go via DV but are going to leave very early but msybe it will still be hot.

JK, I've been to Paris (talking about France, not Vegas), loved it, no one was rude to us.
