Is New York-New York within walking distance from Treasure Island? About how long would it take to get to NYNY if walking at a good pace? Thanks in advance.

New York New York is a little over 1.5 miles from TI and it would depend on your fitness and the climate whether this would be ok for you. Take it easy there is loads to see in between.

Everything on the strip is within walking distance but they sure are some long walks! Look at the link below for a walking map you can download.

Ok, what is the walking distance to the Venetian from Harrah's? I read somewhere that you can go via the back parking lot and take the shortcut..is this true? And is it safe at night? Thanks!

I agree it really depends on the weather and time of day. We do early morning walks...very few people out and yes I could make it in an hour. If it is hot out different story...all the cement kills me. When you have lots of people...crowds and the crosswalks etc slow you down.

You don't even have to go inside the buildings...I have nearly fallen on my face several times just gawking at the buildings as we are walking by. They are building a new "city" next to the Belligio..I am fascinated watching the construction of that. Go into the Belligio and they have an area set up to show you what it will look like when finished. While you are there wander thru their seasonal display in the consevatory...no expense spared on that. If you are thristy stop at the Coca-cola store and sit at the old fashioned soda counter for a $1. bottle of coke. Sometimes I just want something other than booze!

There is basicaly nowhere in Vegas safe at night between 2 casinos. They look close, but I would not walk between any of them at night.

With the current budget problems placing police in the field, the robbers and muggers are everywhere and survive robbing tourists trying to walk between casinos. For your safety, take a cab.
