Always wanted to go to Vegas, more for the crazy atmosphere than the gambling. Any tips on how to enjoy it with two seven year old daughters

Sure leave them at home with your spouse and come with a friend.

lol Deb Good advice.

Nice Chap- I'll be one of those people who will tell you to leave your lovely daughters at home. I left my two at home to really enjoy myself. If you must bring them, they may enjoy the shark reef at Mandalay bay. They also have a fantastic pool at Mandalay. Honestly, if you can leave them at home or bring someone to babysit, then do it.

They might have fun collecting cards of naked call girls that are passedout on the Strip.

nice_chap,

You, will/have, without a doubt, cause/d yet another long discussion in here. IMHO Vegas is not a place for kids. But I have to admit I've never taken a kid there. Seems to me that if your reason for going there is for the kids' goodtime, its the wrong place. If your going for you, its great !!! It just seems to me that someone loses in the compromise. Just my opinion.

Good Luck

Matt

M&M World

World of Coca-Cola

NYNY Roller Coaster and Arcade

Imax Theaters in Caesars Palace and Luxor

Game Works

Circus Circus Adventure Dome

Magic Shows (Lance Burton etc.)

King Tut museum at Luxor

Hoover Dam

Bonnie Springs

Sagebrush Ranch

Mt. Charleston

As stated previously, best to leave kiddies home but there are things for you to do with them - you'd need to rent a car though IMHO.

Nice Chap,

Vegas isn't for kids and Disney World isn't for smoking adults with tattoos and bad teeth....ha!

Seriously, if Vegas is your only stop during this trip to the States, then make it an adults only trip. If you have other destinations during your vacation, make it a one nighter with your little ones. Stay off the strip at night and forget about going into a casino, since they are off limits to kiddies. I'll be there next week with my 11 and 14 yr. old and plan on following my own advice. They will have fun in the arcades, going on rides and swimming. After 2 nights at the Luxor we are moving to the "suburbs" and going on side trips like Hoover Dam, Valley of Fire, etc. Take care!

As a single father of a little girl - I have found that Texas Station, Sunset Station and Boulder Station has a place called Kids Quest. My daughter loves it - you can drop them off for up to 6 hours and they have games and activites galore. Extremelly safe - Officers from the Nevada State Police recommended it to me and now it's a regular for my daughter and I. Gives her a few hours of freedom to play and have a great time, while a the same time I get the freedom to have some fun myself. Orleans has something similar, but my daughter prefers Texas Station.

Also, our hotels do have licensed and registered baby sister who will watch your children - never have used them, but my guest have never provided a concern over the service - just check with guest services at your hotel if this is something you would be interested in.

Nice Chap - we have brought our daughter there four times and she has a blast, she loves it there as much as we do. We just enjoy looking at the different hotels, the thrill rides, Red Rock Canyon, Grand Canyon is about a 3 hour drive, the Rick Thomas magic show (at the Tropicana) is great for kids and adults. My advice is to keep them away from the strip at night.
