We chose this restaurant as part of the "dinner and a show" package when we went to see Bette Midler. The food was okay, the decor was nothing special and the service was competent. The strange thing was that after I explained to our waiter that we were there on the dinner and a show package his atitude appeared to... more

I dined at this Rao's because it is impossible to for a non-insider or non celebrity to get into the original Rao's in East Harlem. I was not especially welcomed because I was a woman alone even though it was early (5:30 pm) and there were many empty tables. The bread was ordinary and a very paltry portion - what... more

My husband went to Rao's as we were told how good the food was. The only problem is that it was so noisy we had to raise our voices to hear each other talk across the table. We couldn't have a conversation without shouting across the table to hear one another. It took the server 40 minutes to bring us our drinks lest take our dinner order. We saw our server... more

We did the show package and had a lot of fun. This place has great atmosphere with its walls plastered in celeb photos - clearly anyone who is anyone has dined here. Rao's treads a nice line between Vegas glamor and Italian family restaurant sensibility. I loved this vibe - and the staff are thoroughly professional as one would expect.... more
