My wife and I went to Ellis Island based on reviews from Trip Advisor. We also had a coupon from Las Vegas Advisor. We went there knowing the place wasn't known for its ambience but for its food. The restaurant is located between a 7-11 convenience store and a Super 8 motel. We were seated at a table that was... more

Just spent 3 days in Vegas with the boys. Night one, we check into Bally's and I suggested this place based on the reviews on this board. It being a guys trip, I figured a bit of old-school Vegas and cheap steaks would be a good start. It's not kitchy, it's just disgusting. Fresh cigarette smoke mixing with stale cigarette... more

Can't go wrong with this place. Food was great. We ate in the restaurant because the wait for the barbeque was an hour and a half. I was really disappointed until my food arrived. Wow! Top notch service, huge portions, delicious food and a small bill. What more can one ask for? The casino is smokey and dark, but that's... more

OK - it's not the Ritz. If you want ambience - go pay for it somewhere else. If you want old-school, good food, good service and great prices - DIS IS DA PLACE Easy to find (just 1 block behind Bally's) - this is the place the locals eat at. Open 24 hours - the food is fabulous value. You... more

Got a tip from our shuttle driver about this place. Center cut Top Sirloin, veggy, baked potato, salad, and a tall glass of beer (I recommend their own brew) for $6.99. It was a bit of a wait to get seated, but well worth it. The microbrews are fantastic. Try the wheat ale (I forgot it's name, but it looks... more

What else can you say about this place that hasn't already been said. This was our first visit to Ellis Island despite it being our third trip. We decided to try this place after reading good reports on here and other forums. WOW!!! - This place is an absolute gem and a steal. Upon arrival you have to either put... more

I remember my first trip to Vegas in 2002 and my then GF and parents telling me we had to come here. I walked in, and was prepared to die. It was dark, a little smelly and attached to a Super 8 which always means top notch dining. Damn was I wrong. Just returning from my 4th trip to Vegas,... more
