This was the third celebrity chef restaurant we tried on our four night trip to Las Vegas. We rated it #3 behing Daniel Boulud and Carnevino. (I reviewed Danile Boulud on a previous Las Vegas trip.) The food had a lot of zing to it. I had a squid appetizer that was quite amazing: several different sauces and a thinly... more

I'm a Food Network nut so I was excited to try out Mr. Flay's Mesa Grill. It was smaller than I expected. And was missing frills. The waiter was great. They start you with a basket of excellent bread choices. Portions are large. I had starter as my meal and was satisfied. My boyfriend got a steak which was huge.... more

We visited Mesa Grill for lunch during our trip to Vegas. We walked in with no reservations on a Friday around 1:30-2:00. Restaurant was full but no wait. We were seated in a slightly elevated area with a nice view of the restaurant. It is a very nice space.... large and colorful with views of the kitchen. I was impressed... more

I thought going there would be a great experience..... it was just so so. The service was bad, we had to wait 15 mins for a menu, and the waiter came to take our order but we needed menus first. His dicription on the food preperation was wrong. It was cold and very dry... hard to swallow. Our coffee came... more

Not necessarily a Bobby Flay fan, but a fan of southwestern cuisine, we decided to try Mesa Grill for Sunday brunch (around 1pm). A relatively small menu with appetizers, mains and desserts was offered with an equal number of breakfast and lunch items. A basket of fresh breads (tequila scones, blue corn muffins and a small wedge of coffee cake)... more

I've looked forward to eating here ever since my husband told me we had a convention to attend in Las Vegas. This is our type of food, more of a sophisticated southwestern. Love the way the restaurant is decorated, kind of a 60's vibe and very modern. We had the Mesa burger which was deliciously juicy and the smoked shrimp... more

Hmmm...... Another one of the so-called "fine dining" establishments within Caesars Palace. Their prices are high, their steaks are excellent, their staff are poor (or the young lady who waited on us the other week was poor). We're English, so when we're in the US, we do like to get out for a steak. In the UK, steak is expensive... more

I was worried that the food would be too spicy but it wasn't at all. I hate it when food is too spicy and you can't taste the food. The taste was evenly layered. My husband and I splurged on the Prix Fixe lunch menu. It was a great sampler. Don't be disappointed-there are no big portions here. But, with... more

I do not "fine dine" very often, so I am not fluent in the qualities of fine dining. I do believe I am a great judge of taste. We went to the restaurant for lunch three years ago. The food was okay, nothing extra-ordinary. I had the tuna something, my friend had the lamb something. Of course, portions are small,... more

Don' t think just because the restaurant is owned by a celebity chef you will get 5 star service! We had to wait 20 minutes for apps to come out, then 20 more minutes for dinner - which was not right & had to go back, another 10 minute wait and then 15 minutes for 1 dessert AND then 15... more
