We stayed at the MGM 2 weeks ago and had dinner at Craftsteak one night. I recommend you get reservations because it was very crowded, even on the Monday that we went. We had reservations for 8:15pm and were there on time but had to wait 15 minutes. It’s popular. It’s a 4 star steak house that is warmly decorated... more
I visited in November 2008 and am really late with this review, but then again I tend to procrastinate about everything, just ask my friends and family. A group of seven of us had dinner at Craftsteak and we all loved it. We chose a menu selection with a fixed price of around $75 per person, which included several appetizers,... more
On our recent, first trip to Las Vegas, we planned on going out for one splurge dinner and decided on Craftsteak after reading so many reviews of various restaurants. As foodies and fans of "Top Chef", we thought it might be fun to check out Tom Colicchio's restaurant, having listened to him review other chefs. He emphasizes simplicity and taste... more
We tried both establishments, Craftsteak and Picasso (Bellagio). What a difference. I have lots of experience with fine dining throughout the world and was sig. disappointed with Craftsteak. Lows: -They tried to seat us by the bar instead of the restaurant area, despite having reservations. It was loud. They did find us a seat in the restaurant proper. It was... more
I didn't love the set-up here, the tables are close together and for a nece meal I don't need to be jammed next to a stranger. Like MGM, the room is crowded and loud, not a great setting to enjoy a high end meal, for my taste. We all had american kobe and the steaks were good, but a little... more
I've been to las vegas multiple times in the past 3 years. This restaurant consistently has the best food of any place that I've been to, and that includes at lleast three different high end steakhouses around LV. This time we tried the tasting menu, and I was with three other people. Not only is this tasting menu served family... more
I'm a huge fan of "Top Chef" and had pretty high expectations for Craftsteak (having watched Tom Colicchio tear apart countless contestants over shoddy meals.) Thankfully, his restaurant did not disappoint - everything there was just spectacular. The atmosphere, the service, and the food was incredible! We ordered the ribeye for two with a side of yukon mashed potatoes and... more
Had a great meal at Craftsteak! Loved the decor and the service was excellent. The only thing that I thought seemed strange about the place was the choice of music that they played. It was the kind of place that seemd so upscale to me and cosmopolitan that I thought that soft jazz or classical would have made the ambience... more
This was the one restaurant my friend and I had been looking forward to in our last trip to las vegas. We went for the $90 spring tasting menu with wine pairing, which they were very liberal with the wine. All the food was perfect and there were some standouts. Appetizer: Grilled Quail, Vincotto Main Course: Grilled Angus Beef Skirt... more
