Yum. Take the Deuce bus to the Howard Johnson's halfway between the Strip and Fremont Street, and get yourself a Cuban breakfast - eggs your way, plantains, croquetas (little fried ham & cheese bundles), and buttered toast. Get a cafe con leche on the side, and ease your way into your sightseeing day. Tasty and satisfying. No idea how their... more

I had heard this was great Cuban food, and I did find the pork very good. The appetizers were mediocre and service lacking. Good prices though. more

Was there on 6/18/07 for lunch. Ordered stuffed plaintains w/chopped meat as an appetizer(tostones rellenos). My husband ordered a cuban sandwich w/fries and I had the lunch special of shredded steak w/tomato sauce and peppers w/salad and white rice and black beans(arroz moro). Well worth the trip down the street to the Howard Johnsons. A little leery at first. A great resturant that happens to be at the HJ's. The food and service were excellent. Nice menu. Friendly staff. Without having eaten much Cuban food for comparison, I can only say that my wife and I thoroughly enjoy the food here - our second visit in 2 years. A nice selection of menu choices. Service was very good and the restaurant itself is as attractive as one could expect in a Howard Johnson motel. Easy parking in the back. more
