We ate at Shintaro while visiting Las Vegas last year (just now getting around to writing this review). We should have known that something was up as the place was about 1/4 filled on a Saturday night. The food was very, very bland. My steak had no flavor. The service can only be described as, "there". No personality, no flair.... more

My sister and I are avid teppan fans so we just had to eat at Shintaro on our Vegas trip. We were also guests at the Bellagio and this was the only disappointing part of the entire experience. The service was divine, as it should be for our bill came to $250 US with the tip. The prawns were so... more

Our party of six had a reservation for eight o'clock on Easter Sunday. I thought eight was a little early for a ten-thirty showing of "O", but I'm glad we didn't go any later. Granted it was Easter Sunday, but it took almost an hour after we were seated for our teppan-yaki chef to arrive!. Our server gave us edamame... more

My husband and I ate here on Jan 31st and we were very disappointed. The restaurant has a great view of the water attraction at night and the staff is great but the food just wasn't good. We had previously eaten at Shibuya at the MGM Grand (also serves sushi and has Teppan tables) and we thought our experience there... more

Like previous reviewers, I expected the Bellagio restaurants to provide a certain level of food quality and service. My husband and I dined there on a Wednesday evening in May, 2006. We had a 6:30 reservation and were seated promptly. The restaurant was about a quarter full, yet it still took our waiter almost 10 minutes to stop by our... more

Had a meal here last year and it was delightful. Thisyear in April it was very average, sushi not that good. Horrible Sauvignon Blanc. Such a disappointment. Beautiful view. more

Bellagio restaurants are supposed to be the best of the best and unfortunately, this restaurant doesn't meet those lofty expectations. It's very expensive, the alcohol (especially the sake) is ridiculously marked-up and the service was spotty at best (took 10 minutes just for the waitress to bring the wine list). On the plus side, the food was very good and... more

I'm very neutral on Shintaro. It was one of those experiences where I got the feeling that if circumstances had been different then perhaps the experience might have been as well. We, like the last reviewer, were there prior to seeing the 7:30 showing of "O". Upon the arrival of my party of 4 we got the obligatory question "Do... more

Shintaro is one of a couple Bellagio restaurants that is not worth the price. We ate the 12/28/05 before going to see "O". Being fans of Teppan Yaki dining we had very high expectations for Shintaro. What we found was food that was disappointing, service that was sub par, and a fairly non existant problem resolution policy. First problem was... more
