Although staying on the strip (a $15 cab ride away) we made an effort to get to Viva Mercado's and it did not disappoint. My only regret is that I could not eat more! An encyclopedic menu, fabulous margaritas, excellent additional tasters (especially the Sopa de Fideos), attentive friendly service, and a bill under $100 for a family of four. This is the best find off the Strip and well worth the 10 minute drive. Next time we're back in Vegas we'll be back here ! more

This place rocks! Totally a hole-in-the-wall type place, but man is the food good. Everything from the guac to my favorite, the seafood chile relleno is top notch. Great traditional ambience. A must go!! more

We loved the old hole in the wall and just tried them at their new location. Still good food. Thrilled that they're still getting a packed house when the new restaurant is 4x as big. Tip: Get the Carne Asada over the Carnitas. Mine came out as pork chops. more

Had lunch at Viva Mercado's after reading some possitive reviews from Trip Advisor. Worth the trip. It is located in a strip mall (I heard they are moving soon though) so don't expect any flare. The food, though, was fantastic. Being a Yankee from Boston I really cherish great Mexican since I can not get any at home. A+ on... more
