My husband and I made reservations for Hugo's Cellar one month out for our 5th anniversary dinner. It was our first time in Vegas and I'd read many good reviews about this place so I wanted to go. First of all, it cost $30 each way to get a cab to downtown from the strip. That $60 was a lot... more

I always visit Hugo's Cellar when I am in Las Vegas. Took my mom for dinner on November 12, 2007 as she had never been there. She loved it as well. The royal treatment, the rose, the salad cart, the service, the food. All excellent and consistent. I've been going there for years - and am always pleased and will... more

I am not sure what these last few reviews are talking about. We enjoyed Hugo's on November 11, 2007 for our 10th wedding anniversary with another couple. It started with the stunning service upon entering the restaurant the proceeded the a wonderful salad. The entrees we ate are the prime rib, the rack of lamb, the crab legs (full split)... more

We ate here on November 4, 2007, because of all the great reviews on Trip Advisor. We were very disappointed. The service was good. The food was mediocre at best. I had the veal marsala. The veal was tasteless and the sauce tasted like it was out of a jar. My husband had the scallops which he said were flavorless.... more

I had read about hugo's on TA and made a point of getting a reservation there on our trip. We went on a monday night and they had an 8:00pm which was perfect for us. When we walked into the four queens they knew we were looking for hugos and pointed us in the right direction. I loved the little... more

Third time in Vegas, third visit to Hugo's Cellar. This time for my sister's 40th birthday. Seven of us had a fantastic meal, but on past experience, don't fill up on the bread, or order a starter. You will regret leaving any of your main course. As ever, the service was exceptional and the personal salad selection at the table... more

Went to Hugo's Cellar in September 2007 and had a great time! The atmosphere is nice and secluded, they had a very expansive menu and lots of cool stuff too. We tried the hot rock appetizer, which was awesome, and then had prime rib and a wonderful sea bass for dinner. The one downfall is that the waiter accidentally poured... more

A friend and I had dinner at this downtown restaurant, largely as a result of the comments of others at this site. I was disappointed. The first disappointment was price. I did not see a single entre' for less than $40, with the exception of a chicken dish. I was expecting to see steak and seafood dishes in the $25... more

Hugo’s Cellar—This restaurant is in the cellar of the 4 Queens downtown Las Vegas. The room is nice and cozy…brick walls and dark colors. The tables are not too close together and it is relatively quiet. It is easy to forget there is a noisy casino right above your head. First thing they do is present the females in the... more

Positive - the service. We were truly engaged by our wait staff and their stories of 20 plus years working at Hugo's. Negative- the food tasted as if it had been prepared 20 plus years ago too. The lobster bisque tasted as if it had been made with a beef gravy base. The Indonesian sauce accompanying the lamb was horrid... more
