After reading some of the reviews posted (having just returned from 4 nights at the Tropicana), I wonder why some of the negative reviewers would choose an older hotel when there is lots of spit, polish and glitz to choose from in Las Vegas......IF YOU WANT TO PAY FOR IT. I wasn't expecting the Bellagio so I was quite content... more

Do not honor its own web site price, a tons of hidden charge not disclosed or use technical word to-mislead you. 1. room is dirty, smell worst than the cigarette room in airport, mildew, yakky smell make you sneeze all day. everywhere, elevated make cranky noises, peeling paint. 2. Tiny pest, insect running in your bed. 3. internet charge is... more

We just returned from our stay at the Trop and even though it is an older hotel it was a nice place to stay. Our room was in the older part of the hotel but had great access to the pool, casino, and parking lot. The bed was a little hard for me but my husband like it. Mint Monday's... more

Geez Louise, this place should be torn down. When you surf the net to find accommodations, this hotels pops up and is ever present. I chose to stay there despite all the reviews to give my stay the benefit of the doubt. The food was awful in the two restaurants in the hotel where we ate, the staff (every single... more

We stayed here on our way to some National Parks. We usually stay at ExCaliber when in Vegas, but the Tropicana offered cheaper rates and was just across the street. The room itself was great; a little outdated, but very clean, with little touches of faded luxury. The bed was very comfortable, the sheets a good quality, and from the... more

My sister booked the room for us. I was leary because of the reviews I read. The hotel is located at the beginning of the strip. We stayed in the Paradise Tower which was great because of my elderly mother. We could get out of the car, walk up about 4 steps and a few yards and get onto the... more

I booked my trip with the Tropican 7 months early. I made a request for a balcony room since it is our 1 year anniversary (we got married in Las Vegas 1 year ago to the day). I phoned to inquire about this and they told me they could not guarantee my request. This is unacceptable. I made these reservations... more

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Tropicana on the 4th of July holiday. I had already read previous reviews of the hotel, so I had an idea of what to expect. The only good thing about the hotel is the location. We also won tickets for their topless show “Folies Bergere” upon check in, but that show seriously needs... more

I knew what to expect at the Trop., a great price, a great pool, and a great location. I also expected old rooms, bad food, and non existent drink service on the casino floor. The positives FAR outweighed the negatives. I paid $37 a night and got a $50 discount from Orbitz. My total with tax was $206 for 4... more

The Tropicana is an old Vegas hotel that has some issues. Our rooms were in the Garden area- these are in the oldest part of the hotel. Drippy faucets, worn furniture, and stained carpets were in our two rooms. The place was cheap which we liked and we spent very little time in the room. The hotel staff was nice... more
