Just spent a week at the Monte Carlo. After being regular visitors to Vegas and staying in most of the major hotels, this was the first time we'd been back in three years. We decided we'd go back to a hotel we'd enjoyed 5-6 years ago, booked the rooms thru the hotel website in Feb, the prices changed four times... more

This is my third trip to Vegas in 8 months, having previously stayed in Luxor and MGM Grand. I read a few of the reviews and as they seemed to be either really positive or really negative I was concerned to say the least. However it was great. We upgraded to a spa room, and it was amazing, with a... more

For a Vegas hotel, the Monte Carlo lacks a lot of the glitz and glamour of the other well known hotels on the Strip. The lobby and casino are nice enough. The vibe is low key and you don't have to worry about trying to impress anyone. The rooms however, are nothing to write home about. They are very ordinary... more

To my surprise. this is just an average type hotel for Las Vegas. Clean, but nothing fancy. Water pipes were noisy. Not sure why a hotel would be built and skimp on costs in this area. Little things like using double sheets on the bed would add a lot. more

The walls could not be any thinner- you can hear every conversation in the adjacent room. The reception staff were borderline rude- seemed like they just could not be bothered. The beds were lumpy with the head of the matresses pointing downward. The casino was pretty dead; the whole place felt old and tired and uninspired. They have a great... more

I was not impressed with the Monte Carlo. First, it was clean and they were able to get us a non-smoking room. The pool area is cool and the location is good. However, the hotel is located next to a massive construction site for the City Center. It is very loud and you can hear the construction in the rooms.... more

We stayed at the Monte Carlo from 4-26 thru 4-29. We were kept awake by loud air horns and banging construction. The rooms were a little worn but pretty clean. I have to say that we loved the casino area, especially the table game area. The pool is crowded and is even more crowded because part of the pool area... more

The Monte Carlo hotel was fun and has a great location. Although our view from the 9th floor (room 9221) had a view of the pool , mountains and lots of construction we enjoyed the room. It was very clean, totally quiet (we couldn't hear any neighbors , elevators, or construction) and had comfy beds and pillows. The overall impression... more

Have stayed here several times in the past and always enjoyed the hotel and casino. However, there is quite a bit of construction going on next door at the new City Center. Makes for a lot of noise and construction dust. Would recommend requesting a room on the opposite side of the building away from the construction. Also, the parking lot... more

There are new buildings going up on two sides of the Monte Carlo. The construction starts at 4:30 AM. The crews use airhorns, you know the ones - they are REALLY LOUD - to communicate start/stop signals to the cranes. After being woken by these airhorns at 4:30, I contacted the front desk and was told that due to the... more
