We just got back from the Orleans. Vegas in general has lost its luster, since it has gotten so expensive to go there in general. (MGM MIrage just reported a 30% DECREASE in profit for the first quarter of 2008 - duh - people are fed up). Anyway, The Orleans is slipping in our opinion. Before Boyd bought it, it... more

this is the 3rd time staying at the Orleans and once again it was a wonderful stay, especially at $ 30.00 a night. I can't beleive that price. The last time I spent that much on a room was about 25 years ago in a motel 6. Rooms were clean and house keeping was always perfect. Ate at the buffet... more

My wife and I have stayed at the Orleans before and it always seems to be the right balance of convenience, price, amenities, and service. It's certainly not a Wynn or Bellagio, but then again, you're not paying for that kind of experience. It's a working class person's hotel and casino. We don't enjoy the hustle of the strip and... more

I have been to Las Vegas numerous times, but this was my first and last stay at The Orleans. Immediately upon entering the hotel lobby, the smell of cigarette smoke was overwhelming. My eyes started burning and tearing up after just a few minutes. Check in was quick-about 5 minutes. I requested a quiet room and was accomodated. I proceeded... more

We had a very interesting stay for 3 nights at the Orleans. We usually stay at the Platinum (see my review), but got great rates at the Orleans so we'd give it a whirl. Check in was fast and efficient. The room was on the 12th floor overlooking the pool - more about this later. The room was clean and... more

If you’re looking for an off-strip option to the Las Vegas experience, The Orleans is a good choice. I’ve been going to Vegas for years and have always stayed on a strip property. However, I’ve grown tired of trying to find tables with less than $15 minimums (especially on busy days/weekends), so on the suggestion of a family member, I... more

Room: The room was really big with a view of the strip. The decor was slightly outdated and could have used a little bit of sprucing but overrall decent. However, the water coming out of the bathroom sink smelled like sewerage and we could smell it slightly in the room. There is internet access here but it is $12 per... more

My hubby & I got married at this hotel 10 years ago and had a great time. Went back last week with several family members and had the worst hotel experience in my life, bar none. Our first room was fine when we checked in (around 10:30 am). There was a note in the room saying that the water would... more

Ok so I was wavering between the 4 and 5 rating and decided-what's not to love about this quirky, fun hotel with all the amenities and service you could need? We got a code and paid $30 a night and for the money I couldn't fault the place- great pool area, good gaming, lots of food options for half the... more

My husband and I booked a room for the Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekender. The event was held at one of their partner hotels, the Gold Coast. We chose the Orleans because of the discount rates for the event and they offered a free shuttle. The shuttle is a great way to travel to the strip and the Gold Coast.... more
