We received an excellent offer from the Golden Nuggett via email and decided to cut our stay at the Las Vegas Hilton short and stay 2 nights at the Golden Nugget. It was nice to stay in the downtown area for a short time but I was not impressed with the hotel that much. The front desk check-in clerk was... more

We just returned from a five night stay at the Golden Nugget and it was superb, as usual. We had stayed there in February and in July of this year also and would stay nowhere else but the Nugget for this trip. This is my first review for this wonderful hotel, but it will not be my last visit as... more

The Golden Nugget is a great solution if you like to find a different Vegas atmosphere in Downtown and avoid the crowds (and prices) of the Strip. The Fremont Street experience is a must-see, just outside the hotel entrance. We stayed 2 nights arriving on a Sunday in July, and had no issues with check in. I believe it can... more

My wife and I stayed at the Golden Nugget for 3 nights and we were both very impressed. Our check in was fast and the room we stayed in was clean and very nice. The King sized bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept on in my life! The only drawbacks we found was that the... more

30 minutes to check in. The pool was completely closed on Sunday. Buffet service cashiers had trouble understanding English. Shower was broken, and when the maintenance man came to fix it he tracked mud all over the shower so I still didn't want to use it. The room door was warped and extremely hard to open and close. The TV... more

This is one of the worst hotels I've had stayed at, there were numerous problems with our stay. When my husband and I arrived, we were supposed to get a king bed. After a lengthy check-in we were told that we would have to take a room with two doubles (very small). We were ok with that because the hotel... more

Golden Nugget, Las Vegas, NV was ok but not great. Arrived: September 21, 2008 Reviewed by: Michele, Pennsylvania The pool was nice, the tank in the pool was awesome, small pool but ok. Our room was nice, very large, but wasn't very luxurious like the site had led us to believe. We stayed in the south tower, might be better... more

Please do not go to this hotel! This was my trip to Las Vegas, so I was very excited to be there and see the city. I started worrying about the hotel when I stood in line to check in, and had to wait (and wait) because two groups of desk personnel were standing around talking, ignoring the people in... more

The hotel is not bad, but not very good. Very poor value for the money and sort of running down. The staff, with on one exception, were horrible. The person helping me on check in was great, but it went down hill fast from there. I would avoid the hotel based on three reasons: Poor air quality - the place... more
