Hotel was nice - I'd compare it to a Hilton. I stayed in the North Tower. Bathroom was small but nice. Everything was clean and I felt safe in the hotel as a solo female traveler (although off Tremont St, I definitely would not feel safe wondering around downtown). I had a great rate ($65/night) and for a 2-night business... more

Our mixed family group (4 rooms) from CA and NY had a great time at the Golden Nugget. We had 2 economy rooms (spacious/nice bathroom/older decor) and 2 gold club rooms (modern, vessel sinks, TV in bathroom mirror, VIP check in with no lines, unlimited bottles of water and snacks, fresh coffee and newspapers in the morning plus a coupon... more

Still the best downtown hotel and the new wing will open soon. Just in time for them to fix the rest of the rooms. The carpet is getting worn in the room. I never travel where you have to pay for internet access! 12.99 a day is a bit much for internet. Walls are a bit thin as well. The... more

We have just returned from this hotel where we hosted our 20th wedding anniversary party by renewing our vows. Our party co-ordinator Jim Kinsella organised the whole event via email correspondence and it was perfection. Every detail was attended to, the hillarious "Elvis" service, food, bar, decorations, D.J. were fantastic. The wedding we always wanted plus Vegas was just fab.... more

Good old fashioned hotel with a really nice feel. Great to walk onto Fremont street . Great pool set up and a real sun trap from early morning. I would use this hotel again on a weekend. more

Much better to stay Downtown than on the Strip. Walk right out of the hotel onto Freemont Street for the party! The beer and food is cheaper and so are the rates. The table limits are much better! the only problem is the very annoying people who stand at the elevaors and harrass the guests as they get off of... more

This was the first time I'd done the Freemont Street Experience...it was pretty cool! The rumors are true, slots do seem to be looser in Old Town. We did well! The service was better and more attentive in the big casinos and we loved the canopy over Freemont Street. The hotel had recently been remodeled and was very clean and... more

Stayed with my family for 3 nights at the Golden Nugget. Really enjoyed the whole Freement St experience, atmosphere, music, etc. The distance from the strip didn't worry us as we made full use of the bus/shuttle that runs every 15 minutes (24/7) to and from the strip. The outlet shops are only a few stops down the road. We... more
