The hotel is in the process of upgrading--surprising in this economy. It is clean and pretty well maintained. For those who like the Downtown Exdperience, it is GREAT. If you are a "Strip" person, you would probably be happier staying on the strip. The food at the Courtyard Grill and Buffet was very good, and it was reasonably priced. It... more

Initially, the hotel looks old to me and I did research and knew that it's a 2 star hotel, but because I got a deal for CAD 69 tax incl for two week nights so I gave it a try, and it turns out to be a positive result. The room is larger that I thought (bigger than Imperial Palace... more

My room was on the 27th floor where it was quiet. It was a budget room with a million dollar view. Internet speed was good, tv service was basic and the room was clean. Nothing really stood out during my stay except the view from my room. Thus, my room was a good value in a middle of the road... more

We spent 3 nights at Fitzgerald's by booking a hotel/airfare combo with Allegiant. We had visited the casino on previous trips but this was our first stay at Fitzgerald's. We love staying in downtown Vegas. Everything is in close proximity and you don't have to walk a mile (literally) to get to another casino. Although seemingly minor, our main complaint... more

Stayed at the Fitz June 6-8th. Asked for a larger room with a view specifically a corner view room with the large windows. Was told that we could get one but would have to wait til 3p because there was not any available. No biggie, we headed over for breakfast and did some gambling and arrived back at 12:45 just... more

My husband and I stayed at the Fitz at the end of May. We wanted to stay downtown this time around. 1st the bad: -Elevators are slow. Though normally not more than a 5 minute wait, the last day we waited 20 minutes as we tried to check out. -Service not so great. Barely saw the cocktail waitresses, check-in nearly... more

Spent a full week at the Fitz in May and had a great room and wonderful service. I will admit that the elevators slowed down over Memorial Day weekend but hundreds of guests arrived and I expected that would happen. Valet parking is a breeze and the guys are wonderful. The buffet no longer exists -- small restaurant took its... more

Arrived early on a Saturday and the place was hopping. We found the desk staff very friendly even though they were swamped. Once checked in we found the room to be clean and during the four days we were there, housekeeping never missed a beat. One elevator was down, but only experienced a slightly longer wait two or three times.... more

I just left (last night) the hotel - everything about this visit was very poor. 1) The pool area was dirty, when you walked on the cement the bottom of your feet were "black", the water was so cold you couldn't even put your feet in it. The hot tub was dirty and very unclean. 2) the staff were very... more

First time we stayed here at the fritz, clean rooms, no problems with the service, people where friendly. The country western show was OK. Still working on the elevators, but no long waits as some people said that they had, we where there for six days. Will stay there again. more
