There's no denying the Imperial Palace (IP) is a roll of the dice away from being called a dump. Yes it's old, dingy and cramped, but in my opinion its prime Strip location and cheap room rates trump its many shortcomings. Not being gambling folk, price is a factor in our decision making, as we neither expect nor receive "comps"... more

We stayed at the Imperial Palace in March of this year. We booked two rooms on-line. We arrived before 1pm and were promply given one room as the other one was not quite ready! Very friendly check in people. Very friendly floor staff as well. We gambled there most of the time! I won $1000 int he first five minutes... more

I've been staying at the IP at least once a year for about 10/12 years now. I always thought some of the reviews online were over the top. The bottom line is the IP is getting old and tired. It's still a good value if you want a room right on the strip near all the big new hotels.(venetian, bellaggio,... more

It isn't a palace, but it is a great deal. Cheap rooms, and the location can't be beat. Rooms are small, but decent. Don't eat the buffet unless you have a death wish. The burger joint and coffee shop are both good. I didn't try the steakhouse, pizza place, gourmet room, or chinese restaurant. Room comps are easy to get,... more

We had a wonderful visit to the Imperial Palace on April 15th - 20th! We also had a fantastic visit back in Sept. of 2007. At check-in we asked for a complementary upgrade, and the desk clerk went out of her way to find us a nice room with a view. We ended up on the 16th floor in a... more

On April 18, 2008, I stayed at the Imperial Hotel and it was a nightmare. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The rooms are very small. The furniture is old and dirty. The casino is a joke. The entertainment is terrible. The plumbing in the bathroom did not work. Needless to say, I was upset. Spend your money... more

This was my second stay at the IP. I was on the 6th floor overlooking the strip. Yes the club down below was loud, but nosie doesn't bother me. I would however not recomond being that low because of the noise and a weak view. My first visit I was on the 17 floor and it was great. Overall the... more

This was not my first visit to the Imperial Palace, and though not as "plush" as many of the other strip hotels, the Imperial Palace does offer clean rooms and great service. Their theme is still in style and though the furnishings are older, carpet very worn, beds sometimes a little saggy....if you take your own pillow (like I do... more
